I agree that Alonso has improved, but the improvement is nearly all in going forward & on the ball.....defensively he is still poor, can't tackle, runs alongside wingers without actually doing anything & doesn't seem to have any natural defensive ability. As a full back, he makes an average mid field player.

 

For me, he can go,but if Dougie wants to keep him i'm happy to back his judgement. (I think Fleming was a full back, so maybe he can work on him )

So he's much improved, good on the ball and is better going forwards than sticking a foot in. Sounds more like prem material and getting better.
