Anybody ever attempted deep clean and redye? Youths’ trainers look like shit from ale and limbs.

Yeah. It's generally not worth the effort. They look like shit afterwards a home dye job.

But idiots still buy them on ebay.

Stick em in a tub of hot water for 12 hours with stain removing oxydyl powder or whatever its called then put them in a normal wash surrounded by towels with a colour catching sheet in the wash.

If that doesn't get the stains out they are probably fucked.

Thanks. Might have a play with a crap pair.

There’s a local small business where bloke gave up career in banking to refurbish adidas. Would laugh if he’s taking them to laundrette

If they're suede keep away from too much water.  SneakersER set off Ebay will help to bring em back to life, gentle nail brush and they should come up nicely.

Thanks, Got some decent brushes and used the Kiwi foam for light cleans.

Always been put off likes of SneakerER and Shoevinator as having large branding markup

dilute sugar soap

pencil rubber

brushes

dry cloth

does a decent enough job for a pair you intend actually wearing rather than wanking into

This, dry brush first, pencil rubber for jeans bleed, stubborn spots etc,   Flick as much water off the brush as possible and use a microfiber cloth to dry as quickly as possible after a damp clean...

Can really recommend trying Renovation Station (@reno_station on twi... X) just have a look at some of their work on there it's fantastic.

I sent my battered and faded GTX Stockholm to them recently and they're brought them back to life.

Very slow on the uptake I know, but last few months I've really started to lose the love for newer stuff. Been going on for ages like but they're fucking destroying these supposedly iconic city series names.

Them recent Malmo are shocking and these latest London "inspired by the colours of the £5 and £20 note" are laughable.

Let's see what they trawl up with the next SPZL release, another thing rinsed to fuck it should be once a year, once every 2 years even and keep the quality up. Sales fodder much of it.

Similar for the last couple of years. I prefer runners now particularly zx500.

Comfy trainers. Last well. Versatile in whatever you wear.

Only problem is they release 10 colourways at once. 9 are shit and you've got no 'Internet friends' telling you when they get released.

I've got old. I'm waiting on my lad getting into suedes and getting to my shoe size! 🤣

There’s a similar operation in Plymouth. Ex bank manager’s “side hustle / hobby” became a full time job.

15 quid a pop for a clean , 30 for a deep clean restore seems a decent semi retirement plan if the cleaning solutions can be bought as bulk. Rate my yoofs and mates destroy theirs on away days I’d have my own market

Maybe I’ll have to buy some and check the MDSS / COSHH data

I ordered the green Malmos for swaps, DPD came and took a picture of our gates and drove off, email came ' Sorry We Missed You'.  They're refunding me in the next few days, utter shit Size, I've had more cancellations with them than anyone, and as you say the quality and appearance are shite...

Those Malms are a joke, ruined my collections as I'm not going near them... Was in Malmo a couple of months ago, no idea where they even got the colours from. Shite.

The London aren't the worst I've ever seen tbf.

Time to switch to ASICS Onitsuka Tiger Mexico ‘66 trainers, lads.

Adidas appear to have used up every possible colour combo now.

Mad to think how they've gone from a tiny outlet in Selfridges where you could talk to the people in there and they were absolute geeks about everything they sold, to this JD behemoth now that churn out poorly made shite and basically half volley your purchases out to you.

I'm as guilty as the next person for buying some of the additional colourways of things like London and Malmo in the past, but any exclusivity was killed when they first brought them extra colours of London out in about 2010 (that now go for fortunes themselves)

Imagine how prized each "city" release would have been if those original colourways were kept and never deviated from.

I've got the London in Bern c/w and these stashed away somewhere.

I'm going to hold on to my collection for another 3 years then start selling the BNIBWT, fingers crossed they'll be worth a lot more with the nostalgia.

I bought a pair of them years ago when they seemed to be all the rage - most uncomfortable trainers I've ever had.

Anyway, all I wear now is Adidas Nizzas - super comfy and look really nice.

With a winklepicker overshoe I hope.
