I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Clattered Pogba after about 8 second apparently. Hero.

Got nutmegged by him too but otherwise a very promising performance

quite an achievement in that team

i thought he just won it by default when he was with us for not being shit

He was still shit, just the least shittest

They love him down there

Our Stanley Collywobble has had a bit of a meltdown this weekend hasn’t he.

Think he’s forgot to take his meds.

What’s he done now?

Hes a bit of a loon. I liked him but he blocked me on Twitter despite my puffery fence sitting and never messaging him????

My most shocked moment of the season was hearing they didn't pick him early season cos he wasn't fit enough

He strikes me as the ultimate pro

Not worth half of Gary Cahill like but who am I to question Owen

Ream has been quality for Fulham  when I've watched em (about 4 times)

Plays passes out from the back that most would think too risky (through the middle) and sets up a lot of their attacks

Can easily see why they like him

I like Ream when he was with us.

He had his flaws but even when we were shitter than shit he never gave less than 100%

I thought he was overrated because I thought he struggled to defend

That said he was in a shit team

Fair play to him

Ream is in a perfect team for him at the moment, a ball playing CB who doesnt need to do a lot of defending as his team dictates the ball. Defensively theres a question mark thats why he didnt pull up any trees for us, thats all he was doing!

he'll struggle next season when asked more questions

Very easy to look good as a CB when your only defending for 10-15 minutes a game but playing 50 short passes

Let's see how he copes next season against world class forwards ( I'm not including Madine in this)

Its a bit of a modern day football phenomenon, defenders who aren't very good at defending but decent with the ball at their feet, isn't it.

Ream was always very accomplished on the ball but often caught of of position defensively.

Like Frank eluded to though he always seemed to work hard and give it his all. Not surprised to see him flourish in a team who knocks it about.

No problem with paying £3.5 million for a player who is good enough for Fulham

The problem was selling Chelsea a future Champions League winner for only £7 million. They had to pay a lot more for his partner in central defence

He had 6 months left on his contract. At the time (6 years ago) £7m was a significant fee given the circumstances.

Though we could have had double (and more) if we had sold him in the summer of 2011.

We should have made them pay £20M

To think we had Ream, Alonso, Dawson (for a while) and also Hutton around that time as well

And we still couldn’t defend for shit

I think the point was more that there is no point saying Ream cost half of Cahill, therefore Ream wasn't worth the money, because Cahill's value was distorted by the fact he sold with 6 months left

had we hung on to Cahill till the summer Ream would've been £3.5M more expensive than Cahill, though he's clearly not a better player
