Wheater put a header just wide. ALF hit the post. They,in typically Spanish style had loads of the ball but little end product.

Utd lad I knew used to go on about how every away following in 90s was mainly lads with fake tickets and fake cash

 

There were a few utd fans knocking them out tickets and twenty notea for a fiver and you'd get in no probs, and they'd all just stand up at the back

 

After a couple of seasons away pubs started banning them after they'd thought they took hundreds over the bar only to find out it was all fake

He went to the room and there 4 big meat head dudes and guy sat at the dressing table with shit loads of stacks of tickets, season ticket cards etc. He asked which game he was after and he paid £100 a ticket.

Been dogging me all afternoon the name of that book! Read it a while ago, definitely took big advantage of the market while he could, whether you could do the same now I'm not so sure.

Polish lad looked pretty good strong in the tackle and descent on the ball

Oneill off the pace but tried I'll reserve judgement

Donaldson looks slightly overweight did some good runs but the penalty was complete bobbins

Over all a good friendly and tried to play it on the deck a lot more

Of the new ones, the Pole looked the best....a good defensive full back who can tackle & isn't scared of the physical stuff. ( i predict disagreements with those who prefer the full backs to go rushing up the field )

O'Neil off the pace - agreed

Lowe looks a good replacement for Henry....nothing fancy

Donaldson looks an upgrade on Wilbrahim, but not a first choice.

Couldn't judge Wildshut either way.

 

It was a pity Oztumer didn't play ( & it could be a push for him to be ready & fitted in for West Brom ) so we still hardly passed through midfield but it was a good workout against decent opposition - as someone said, they were typical Spanish, good on the ball & passed forever, without creating much.

Some of the best players we’ve had over recent history have been like that - Gudni, Speed etc. If he does that every week and allows Oztumer & Vela to push forward, that will do for me

doesn't sound dissimilar to when I picked up complimentary world cup tickets in munich in 06 at an official fifa outlet

He mainly went to United European ways in that era and regularly went without tickets. Turning up mob handed just as the game had started and forcing the gates open was common place.

 

Never got reported and the local constabulary were just happy to get them off the street.
