I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

City getting bummed.... Pep will be bemoaning all his injured players later..... Poor lad has only had a few gazillion to strengthen his squad.

I've been thinking for a bit City are quietly playing poorly, trouble is they play poor and still win most games eg 1-0 v Southampton, last second winner at Wolves, 3-2 v Fulham, 2-1 v Brentford.  Their points total has flattered them and I bet their fans are a bit bored watching them grind out wins against inferior opponents (like us beating Burton 2-1 but its most weeks for them).

Now knocked out of a cup and lost at Bournemouth, great stuff.

It was a joyful, carefree day  as it was the first match after Megson was sacked.

That's my memory of it too.  Nobody was ordinarily up for a cup match at home to  Lincoln, but there was a buzz going to that game.  Family that hadn't been to a game for months were excited to go, like a weight had been lifted.

Their fans don’t give a shit how they win

Its against the rules of the competition to beat the entitled fucking arseholes

Can’t wait to see my brother and my FiL tomorrow. Wah-fucking-wah the officials were bent, Bournemouth cheated, any fucking excuse

Its hard to believe he played 20 games two seasons running in the Prem!

Less hard to believe is he only scored 1 goal, so maybe not quite their main man 😀

He's scored 12 league goals in his last 8 seasons and 5 of those were last year.

More than most of our current crop have at that level

😂

I'm confident that if a Premier League manager was to give any of our strikers 40 chances to score a goal in the Prem, they'd all get at least one 😀

Inter v Napoli next week

A Napoli defeat and an Emery humbling

An afternoon to forget at Bolty towers

That goal United conceded today...RVN clearly keen to get on trend and not mark up at corners.  Chelsea played OK but hardly looked like scoring.  Get a corner, there you go have an unchallenged pot shot from inside the box, what a surprise its gone in.  Lovely.

Scott Parker working wonders to get that Burnley squad looking so toothless.  Nice defeat at Millwall today.  Failed to score in 4 of last 7 games, all against teams nowhere near the top.  Hopefully he keeps his job for a good while yet.

Aye, two cataclysmic results but it's only the Napoli one causing any distress. Never liked Villa anyway but am a great admirer and respecter of Unai Emery.

Won't be corresponding with the relatives for a few days. They'll be inconsolable. A chance to atone at the weekend at the Meazza? The end of that Inter game last night was dramatic!

Atalanta are capable of doing this to anyone - remember the similar humbling of L/H Whites victims at Anfield?

Just beggars belief that they couldn't score at home against that lot from north of the border. They have been scoring for fun apart from that game and it was an absolute miracle they didn't scored that night in the CL.

I know the lad who was the one Atalanta fan in the away end. Had the time of his life 😂

I'm sure some simpleton on here was saying they'd prefer him to be England manager, rather than Tuchel a week or two ago

Haha no, a lad I know from Hibs games. Did something daft like 20 odd Atalanta games last season. He very much got the better deal yesterday compared to me being at Easter Road watching a 113 minute game and bastard VAR 🤯

Fulham v Brentford.

What a proper gay fixture.

I bet it was proper moody pre-match on the banks of the river Thames.

I've never been but I think that's where Fulham play, commentators never mention it.

Proper nawty. Think one lad spilt his chardonnay.

Just seen Dapo scored at the weekend 🙂

Always happy for him and always a reminder of one of the most moronic decisions we've made in recent times. Clever Evatt

Prawn sandwiches up in the air after that one

I watched it from 80 minutes, and to be fair injury time was a great watch!  Some Fulham fans/tourists were so excited they nearly put their phones away.

My trolls beloved BBC running an article on the big lad.

I like the lad, he's a decent player, but he's not a 3100m striker and he's not the answer to United's problems, so for those reasons I hope they buy him for £100m
