All this whinging about wrong chalk.

They should move table up by a wall and give them the gammy 1/2ft cue

With the shaking spider 😄

It seems the new chalk is superior in all ways.

It causes few bad contacts, and means the tables don't need brushing as frequently.

Obviously the kicks are the same for everyone, but if it's better all round, just use it throughout.

Neil Robertson said after his last 16 post match interview that he couldn't believe they had not banned it. I agree.

A few clubs have been banning it recently as it means they don't have to re-cover the tables as often. The Taom chalks are about £15 a piece, when you can get a pack of 20 Triangle chalk's for a tenner on ebay.

So how good would Ronnie be if he didn't use shit chalk?

He's not using shit chalk that affects his game. It's just that it affects the baize so the consequences are the same for both him and his opponent. It's just bizarre they've not banned it at the top level. Having said that, I reckon I'd be banging in century breaks with better chalk 😀

What a ridiculous frame this is. Last ball was potted 50 mins ago

I only tuned in when the reds were in the corner. How the fuck did it get to that? Think I'll have to watch it back. Probably the most obvious re-rack situation you'll ever see, but Mark Allen chose to soldier on because he was ahead, and ended up losing the frame. Madness.

These Chinese kids are going to dominate aren't they.

It's actually in their curriculum they said on radio today

It does seem so, but pressure will always cause a miss in the big games so we can still challenge. Murphy was superb in that final and Allen in the semi just missing out to Wize on a pressure black.

Not heard about that curriculum malarkey. Seems a bit odd that tbh.

We've still got good youngsters coming through. But yes I do think the Chink... sorry the Chinese will be dominant in 2 or 3 years.

10 chinese players in the top 32, more to follow

said previous, kids now picking up darts, more far superior and more spotlight on it

And as we know, you only need a few months playing darts to become really good, any one of us on here could break the world top 50 within a few months with just 2 hours a day practice. A dart board can just be slung up in the garage and costs fuck all to play

Snooker, requires a bit more time and patience, and you need to actually find a snooker table to play on, and there are becoming fewer and fewer snooker halls. Snooker will be dead as a UK sport (certainly from a TV point of view) within a decade, when the top 32 is predominantly made up of Chinese folk

just seen viewing figures

4 mil watched the final in the UK and 120m worldwide

4 million out of 70 mil not bad as opposed to 120 mil out of 8.3 billion 😀

Roger Leighton who some may remember from Trickshots is now a world renowned coach - he coached Wu and Si Juahai who went deep in the tournament a couple of years back. This is his office - dedicated to billiards and snooker
