onlyoneawalker Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Managing a team in the prem with no budget versus managing a team with no budget in championship is a very different proposition one you're doomed to fail the other you've half a chance of going up - the salary would be more at villa though Quote
gonzo Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Heskey reckons Lennon would be great at villa. Quote

MickyD Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Yes. I've not heard a single fan express anything other than admiration for him since he started turning us round. At the game, anywhere. Nobody has come close to criticizing him let alone wishing he was gone. I'd bet if you picked out 1000 fans at random on Saturday at the game and asked them, not one, not a single one would want Neil Lennon to leave Bolton Wanderers. I'd cheat and ask the folk I know would say they'd rather him not be here. At least three of then post on here. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Dont mind Lambert, his statement was a bit Dougie like. Quote
davidjack Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I'd love to hear the reason given for not wanting NL here. Presumably the same bigoted logic those same people applied at the time of his appointment. Quote
MickyD Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Indeed. In not saying they're right but they are there. Quote
BWFC LAD Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Heskey didn't say that he would be good for villa. Just that rsewipe Durham twisting his words to make it fit what he was spouting 5 mins before. As Lennon said when he joined he wants to cut his teeth at this level. Only done 20 games. Still teething at present. Quote

Take Hunt Off Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Did Heskey actually mention the Villa job or did he just say that Lennon could manage a top club .. Nothing wrong with the latter IMO Quote
Traf Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Or did he answer a question along the lines of... " Do you think NL would make it as a manager of a PL club like Villa?" 2 + 2 doesn't always equal 5. Quote
