kent_white Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Michael Tonge training with us? If we sign him it's going to leave a sour taste in the mouth. Quote
Plums Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I'd prefer Kermorgant too, but Callum Wilson got injured yesterday and that could be a blow for us.I agree, and can't see it happening.Reminded me of Mark Davies the last time, even shouted at the tele last night to get him off. Shame for the lad. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Michael Tonge training with us?Probably not a great indication of his ability, but I once nutmegged him during a 50v50 dinner time game at Bedford High. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I've praised the club for it many times - getting kids in is definitely the answer...but look around you...there are 10 times as many adults as kids in any given stand bar the north upper...which is hardly bursting at the seams. A senior citizen ticket in the North lower (cheapest stand) is £226 - so a tenner a match. So even with seniors and the small minority of kids tickets there's no way the average is £8.50 when every other fucker is paying £14-£20 depending on whether they're north lower or west upper. And that doesn't include those who turn up on the day and are sometimes forced to pay £35 a ticket. Someone with access to the source material has been through those figures. Like it or not, they are going to be legit or the taxman would be banging on the door. Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Has this striker signed? He's currently barricaded inside the hotel Quote

snowball Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 There were a few whom were happy with Sordell at the time, hindsight is great The manager didn't even play him after panicking and wasting £4 million. He should have known better. What the hell does it matter what the fans thought, Coyle fucked up big time (again) and yet some still want to have a pop at fans? Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I was delighted with signing Sordell his performances for England under 21s were enough to get my hopes up. Â He's not had a real run of games since he joined us so it's still possible he makes a decent player of himself. Quote
Anderson Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 It was definitely a signing that I thought was pointing us in the right direction, young, something to prove, hopeful high resale value. Â Yes towards the end he brought most of the criticism on himself but it wasn't his fault he was panic bought and under utilised. I remember him looking like he could be something in his brief cameos in the Prem, remember being very frustrated at his lack of game time despite our inability to score goals. Quote
DazBob Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 He was young, but just maybe not hungry. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 The Sordell signing should have been used as a template of how not to sign players, thorough research into his personality and background with professional profiling should be used and all that info thoroughly studied and considered before any bid is forthcoming, it seemed like Coyle was acting like a wreck less gambler chasing a win with the last throw of the dice.
