Anderson Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 We are going down. Well yeah... But we still exist, appear to be closer than ever to being taken over and at a point where we've realised the necessity to be self reliant at a time when our academy is actually creating talented players. This could be the fresh start that numerous clubs before us have taken advantage of and we may not even have to suffer the administration route to do it. We'll be okay in the long run, other teams are just repeating our mistakes on a larger scale in a far more precarious position. Quote

Sweep Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 appear to be closer than ever to being taken over. Do we really? Quote
snowball Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Do we really? No unfortunately. We all want it but the signs are not good unless you believe Iles/LOV. Quote
Ani Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Do we really? If a takeover is going to happen then we are nearer than we were yesterday. Quote
tarian1979 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Sheffield Wednesday, Forest, Blackburn, Cardiff, QPR, Middlesborough, Derby, Hull, Fulham all spending massively above their income. The stakes to gamble on promotion are getting higher and higher, there's plenty will end up where we are given promotion failure without suicidal financial governance. It's a band wagon we should be relieved to get off. only if there owners leave them in the lurch go bust. Gibson wont do that at boro for example. Proper fan of the club Quote
stevieb Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Ameobi going and maybe others to go as well. Certainly none coming in but the loan market opens in Feb. I think we can jump to March with fuck all incomings. Other teams will use this window to strengthen we will either stay the same or most likely weaken. We're financially fucked and can't attract good enough to compete at this level. We are going down. Shit poem. Doesn't even rhyme Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 only if there owners leave them in the lurch go bust. Gibson wont do that at boro for example. Proper fan of the club That's the idea behind FFP. Might not be perfect, but if in the long term it makes clubs behave more sensibly then great Quote
Carlos Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Gibson would do exactly the same if he ran out of money. And that is a fact. Quote
tarian1979 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Hed put a stop to silly wages long before pulling the plug also Quote
tarian1979 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Theres no reason for any club to face possible liquidation unless its been ran horrifically at the top. May not of been ran horrifically for all the period in question and they may of even done brillliantly to start but the situation at present means things have been run scandalously badly the last few years minimum Quote
Carlos Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Again, if some aspect of his business went tits up he wouldn't. Football clubs are signing players on 3/4/5+ year contracts, no one knows where the economy or their own fortunes are going in the length of time. Quote
Zico Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 only if there owners leave them in the lurch go bust. Gibson wont do that at boro for example. Proper fan of the club it wasn't so long ago derby were saying this about us, and now burnley are saying about derby http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/derby-boro-taken-spending-whole-9735008 it's a gamble that's looking likely to pay off for boro, with tv money at an all time high next season derby might be bottling it again though, like they did last season, be interesting to see if they keep chucking money at it if they don't go up Quote
Traf Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Burnley have got loads of money. Even that article says they sold a 31 yr old championship player for £3m Quote

Anderson Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Talks back on with the ugly little cunt coming to our place, honestly don't see the point at all. Replace Naismith with a young English player with loads of potential for next to nothing. Sounds like a smart move to me. Quote
Pablo Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 We have already signed the replacement for Naisy, way ahead of ZC in terms of Development. ZC should want to play games. Quote
Carlos Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Wilkinson has gone to Newport for a month. Quote
