We don't know this is the case, if iles is reporting it from a Sports Shields PoV and it seems this is where his info is coming from we are getting one side of the story, which is he side shield want it to be,

One minute everyone is signing some stupid petition to make sure we sell to someone with the clubs best interests at heart. The next it's the end of the world because it's not going through quick enough, which could be because the deal isnt good for the club.

 

If ED didnt give a shit he would have just taken the first offer that came along, or let us go into administration. Not defending ED here, but I'd rather it take longer and we get decent owners in with the right motives.

There hasn't been one offer to significant enough to buy the club lock stock and barrel.

Or that the new owners (whoever the fuck they might be) don't want it to go through until after deadline day so that they can't get accused of not investing in the playing staff during the transfer window
