Just had a meeting on Churchgate. Sad to see the Bolton News offices empty. And in a week or two the Travel Counsellors building opposite will be empty. Another 200+ people spending approx £20 per week on parking and lunches in the town... plus whatever other services they spend their hard-earned on - all being lost. Very sad state of affairs.

 

When will it get better? Should these empty offices be turned into apartments?

That sat empty for 20 years, now it's a tiny 'award-winning' Park that tbh still has massive plastic pipes coming out of the grass and during the day is a hangout for bagheads 😅

Supposed to be leaving today.

If they don't, then it might be an interesting next home game.

AO were due to move into there years ago, as signing day came closer the price increased, then they were told they would be allowed to use the car park. AOs owner ended up telling them to fuck off and moved to the offices at Middlebrook.

The bingo hall was in legal holdup for years, was supposed to be a hotel then the construction company did a midnight flit and it all went on hold. I think the council used new powers to CPO it and turned it into greenspace as has been a desire nationally for land left undeveloped for a long time.
