If this is a secular coup against an "Islamist" government, we could end up with a free for all especially with Syria on the doorstep. I doubt NATO would stand back and let that happen though. I think it could be better in long run if military hold balance of power the big question is have the yanks a hand in this? I'd think that's very likely.
