Im sure he’d manage with what’s left, but whatever level you’re at, losing half your bunce is bound to be annoying. When someone dangles enough to fill the hole at you and alll you need to do is not twat your brother, it’s probably a no brainer. Trouble is, they seem to genuinely fucking hate being in the same room. I just think Noel is enough of a cunt, by his own admission, to just not do it purely to spite Liam Quote

No but they are the headliners so you can see why someone over 20 might go Just watching Liam on BBC now It's like watching an oasis tribute act but the plot twist is the singer was in oasis Quote

Hopefully Andy Bell steers clear. Edited August 25, 2024 by green genie Quote

Dr Faustus Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Let’s face it, if it happens we’ll all be clambering for tickets. I will, might actually have to take the missus… sure she’ll love the cups of piss sailing over her head- she’ll then understand why we wear bucket hats. Big if, but fuck me it’s overdue- get the smiths as support or summat Quote

Not in Crawley Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Well the pick up place is dead easy...now if my daughter could just get on one of those buses asap that would be dandy. It's like the inbetweeners road trip round here, bless their cottons. Quote

The Last Dinner Party scored highly with mine, Liam they watched Half the World Away got bored and watched Skrillex which they loved. Slept all the way back, all the stuff in a green plastic bag as some bloke - from Bolton ironically - pissed in their tent and then got thrown out of the place for carrying two hammers and a shit load of coke. frank_spencer Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 This announcement has me more excited than Oasis by far. Quote

All those 'firsts' and carefree time to enjoy music with your friends without life getting in the way. I think our brains might switch off to new music as we age. In a similar way that our language acquisition skills do...... Quote
frank_spencer Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Went through a lull in discovering music in my thirties, now I'm in me 40s I'm listening to more new stuff than since my teens. Going to more gigs is helping and MPF is definitely a big factor too. Quote

I find myself discovering new stuff that is old stuff I was never into the likes of Nick Cave, Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails back in the 80s / 90s / 00s whilst being aware of them Got into them in the last 15 years or so Loads of stuff from the 80s and 90s and even 00s I listen to now and wonder how I ever missed it and wished I'd been into it at the time Spotify makes it miles easier these days But I wouldn't know where to start looking for new stuff And to be honest I don't really want to look, I'll discover it by accident Quote
Not in Crawley Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Been so many good new albums coming out in the sept release slot, Nick Cave's is quality as ever, but I've been listening to Bug Club's On The Intricate Working of The System a ton - Longsdale Slipons is very good but Quality Pints is excellent as well. Like the Lovely Eggs having a slap-up meal with Half Man, Half Buscuit and Slow Club cooking. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 (edited) Also this is coming out in 2 weeks - Erland Cooper's Carve the Runes and the be Content with Silence. The first part released this week is lovely, the concept I like as well. You might have heard of him if you love Paul Weller has he's worked with him on some stuff and Simon Tong of the Verve. Sort of Classical shoegazing, stoner stuff. Might help if I included a link to the first piece from the album! Edited September 6, 2024 by Not in Crawley Quote

Not in Crawley Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Funny isn't it, Let Love In doesn't really do it for me, his last four albums though are just stunning Quote
