Randall is obviously going to be a regular starter in midfield, I presume Sheehan won't be playing alongside him or will Randall be tucked in just behind the strikers and Sheehan further back?

Would assume so.

I'd guess it's 2 from the 3 of Thomason, Matete and Sheehan then one of Lolos, CMG and Randall playing the link role. I actually think CMG has a role to play there, moreso than Lolos at this stage (in terms of ability to carry the ball - Lolos looks more of a touch player). Injuries are the concern with CMG.

Top two is interesting. Collins will play, I assume, and I'm almost certain we are looking to bring a physical forward in. One of Charles or Vic will be moved on I expect. And McAtee may find himself wearing his tracksuit a bit more.

Randall will be a good signing expect a couple of first teamers  to leave to create more room in the squad .

Evatt as said he is the replacement for Paris so should be the end of the 3 striker formation. Mactee will have to fight it out for a place up front with the other strikers . If Dempsey is out for the season we’re still light for a ball winner in midfield if Tomo is out arfiejd looks unlikely to come good

I'd be more than happy with McAtee and Collins up front with Randall in the number 10.

Sheehan, Tomo, Randall

Seems to me that the midfield needs Jamie Pollock but the manager has signed Claus Jensen

Disagree. We need a replacement for Maghoma. That's what we need. Someone who can unlock a defence. Hopefully Randall can be that guy.

Sheehan Randall and one other. But it'll be rotation , which it can be now we have bodies.

Tomo isn’t ball winning. Matete has 10x the tackling ability and an even greater level of athleticism.

Sheehan and Matete with Randall in front would be by far our best midfield (admittedly with little actual knowledge of Randall). But he won’t drop his captain.

Now that we have Randall we need to stop paying Mcatee deeper. He's a striker. Might be a striker that is better playing off someone but he's a forward and he should be considered a forward.

Just seems a bit too lightweight for me, hope I'm wrong!

Possibly, but it'd involve dropping the captain

No surprise to see some PU fans saying stuff , it's easy to pretend things are okay especially when your team is having a bad season and you're losing a talent, I'm sure if we had Dioufy for example now, if he was in good form, some Bolton fans would mention his antics as a reason for not being to being fussed about losing him, but would be deep down pretty gutted.

as for Bolton, 2 things that can bring  change ( we are having a poor season expectance wise) 1) a change of personal/new signings 2) a new manager

if anything it brings a bit of what if/wonder/optimism for our next few matches with a new player, that can go easily with poor results, but this might be the start of our demise turning around, hopefully, with a few weeks left still for more signings/change, if in a month our new team still keep dropping points, then it's all obvious that it has to be Evatt that is moved on.

Thomason, Randall and Morley would be my start for Saturday.

Gotta feel for Morley,

Plays his best season for Wycombe, gets brough back, scores a last minute winner, within a week he's down the pecking order as another midfielders brought in.

I’m not getting too excited  just yet.

The way things are going it’s another spare 70 minute squad player. Hope I’m wrong but we’ve potentially three or four match winners who don’t get game time.

Might be a good player. I should be excited about pinching one of the better players from a team in the same division.

Question is, is Evatt going to drown him in tactics and coach all the individuality out of him? I am at "peak cynicism" with Evatt and thus am conflicted between wanting BWFC to do well and wanting a fresh start in the manager's seat. I don't think the former is possible without the latter.

Midfield hardmen do not exist anymore. Karl Henry wasn’t a hard man just a bit of a shit house.

Morley, Captain Legohead and Matete would start for me at Rotherham.

Bit sad to see a disappointing response to the signing. The lad has come in and deserves a clean slate with the hope of him creating great memories at BWFC. Welcome Randall.

It's nothing against him in particular. We just already have the "off the striker, skinny, no shin pads" role well covered.

Hold up player up front, big physical athlete in midfield and no nonsense ball winner in defense is what we need.

Yep I hear what you and find it hard to argue. That said though I feel my point still stands on any new signing.

I wouldn't have put Pollock above Henry in the hardman pecking order?  Pollock could be a bit of a loose cannon in a Joey Barton type of way but he wasn't one of them players the opposition were afraid to foul surely, Henry seemed harder to me.

A modern version of what we're missing, whether they are hard men or just can look after themselves physically, is Cameron Branagan.  Always seemed a shame he went to Oxford (not exactly a dream move) when he's from Salford and came through at Liverpool.  If he ever wants to return to the NW hope he comes here.
