We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

How can he be signed and Ceejay..........That would be three oversea players meaning Schon would have to be shipped out

No Schon can be reclassed apparently as he featured in over 60% of our games last season. Only saw this on a twitter thread yesterday mind.

I thought that but have a read of this

Apparently not

I always thought international appearances of a certain level meant they satisfied the visa criteria anyway, not that Schon or Gale's necessarily do, was just my assumption that if we were able to sign more that must be why.

There’s clearly a blockage somewhere or this deal would have been done by now. The influence his agent seems to have concerns me because if he has been over aggressive with his current club and the players also been agitating for a move for some time would they be the kind we want to be bringing in here just at the moment?

Player hadn’t discussed personal terms, let alone have a medical, as of yesterday. No blockage. These things take time but because it’s come out in the media, it’ll seem protracted to fans.

It’s been announced that the clubs have agreed the fee so it’s probably personal terms, and I agree he/his agent comes across as a trouble maker.

Looked into him a bit more and he definitely seems more CM than DM (although Norrskoping struggled in the Allsvenskan a bit last year so maybe he was forced to play deeper?) but he has good feet - if so, we would have a surfeit of folk who can play that role so I don’t reckon it’s our top priority.

I suspect there will be loads more transfer action before it settles down and we get a clearer idea of how next season’s team will shape up.

Obviously it will be taller 😎

No not having any of that

We could have signed him when ever we wanted to 🤪

The way I see it is that this agent should be commended, he wants his player to play for BWFC, the more agents like him the better hahaha

Maybe more players we want should take him as their agent 😁

Internal unrest.

😁

We discussed the overseas player situation before. It's ridiculously complex.

I'm sure the club will have all that covered.

Better than Craig Allardyce, tbh.

Very difficult to find out anything about Jesper Ceesay. Swedish fans I know don’t support Norrköping and the internet mainly has stuff about his brother Joseph who is on Malmö’s books but on loan to Cesena in Serie B last year.

So from the fans forums (and bear in mind this is fans talking) I gather

- he is already a Bolton player as per wiki

- they rate him as a stick a foot/head in DM who protects the defence well and adds height at set pieces - I thought he was more CM.

- he’s been angling for a move and has been a bit of a prick/troublemaker recently to get one. Maybe they are referring to the agent, but I can’t tell.

- has (and I quote) “an annoying injury history”

- lacks attacking instincts (they are particularly sore about an open goal chance he missed against a rival)

- will be missed by many of their fans

..and the general impression is that he’s a good defensive shield, but not much more. Not what I imagined tbh.

Muamba-esque?

Sounds like he's MJ Williams-esque.  A good defensive shield, injury history, adds height at set pieces.  And particularly the bit about lacking attacking instincts, for a decent footballer MJ was bizarrely incapable in front of goal.

EDIT - had a look, probably not 🤣

Always been a puzzler that trait. Gifted players who don’t hesitate for a nanosecond when snuffing out danger but get wobbly knees anywhere near a scoring opportunity.

They know that hesitation in front of goal ruins the chance because that’s exactly what gives them the opportunity to tackle or block so it’s not a huge intellectual leap to knowing what’s needed when they get a chance themselves at the other end.

We did awreet with a Caribbean wide boy in the past,  so by that reason it,ll be reet

Sounds like my kitchen this morning.

I presume the singing of Gale means we won't be going back in for either the lad at Salford or the one at Celtic, if not both

I think the lad from Celtic may have been seen as more of an option upfront. Could still be on for him if the price is right.

If wiki is accurate, 5'6" seems very small for an SS man, even if he is a winger
