Priority position for me we need better than Williams 

Timing (now not after Wembley) suggests we may have given him the impression we would sign him.  Hopefully someone better lined up.

It does though. If you loan a player and don’t see enough of him it means they aren’t up to it. If they were they would have played more.

As our subbing doesn’t start until the 70th minute he and others didn’t get the opportunity for playing time. 

Loan spells can go wrong for any number of reasons 

I thought he was decent during what turned out to be his final appearances for us but agree with others that he didn't play often enough to make a proper judgement

Reckon we’ve tried to sign him. Hence the timing. I hope it’s us that has better lined up and not him.

Nah.

For me he was as capable as the others- not as quick perhaps but arguably better at defending. He was comfortable on the ball and could score. 

Evatt clearly had his preferred players, and that's fair enough, but it doesn't mean the lad wasn't up to it.

In a similar way, Forrester barely got a game, but looked excellent when he played.

That's for the manager to decide; he has the responsibility and will get plenty right, but like othe rmanagers, he won't get them all right.

I hope so, as we've let 2 go without apparently trying for either.

Can't help feeling we need someone to challenge Williams. Maybe there is a b-team player showing promise.
