He was interviewed after the game. At that second, the end of season break began. I expect we'll get a couple of quotes about looking forward to the season once training resumes.

Really don't know how or why you expect an announcement that IE is staying when ultimately he is under contract and hasn't resigned or been sacked so the only uncertainty is in your head.

Common sense prevails

im not buying it that SB is the greatest business woman the world has ever seen, but i think shes not bad at all and i trsut her

if she sacks evatt, i'll trust that too, but all she says suggests thats way off

i suspect shes told evatt to go away for as long as he wants and get a rest before the players come back

whatever anybody thinks of him, i dont think anybody would argue he doesnt live the job

it must be mentally draining and if hes worn out (cue, he wants to try my job etc etc) better to go and chill and get ready to go again

giving updates to internet oddballs should not be a priority

Oddballs? Come on Casino, if you genuinely don’t accept that complete silence from both the manager and our senior players isn’t normal then I’d suggest it’s yourself who’s the oddball. Of course he needs a break but it’s nearly 6 weeks now and we’ve heard nothing from any of them. That’s not normal and I’d say pretty insulting to fans who’ve shelled out on season tickets and it certainly can’t be reassuring for those who are still considering investing. If you genuinely don’t see a concern with that then that’s fine but let’s just drop the insults for those who are.

So why is he only telling the players? What is he hiding? I'm a season ticket holder and deserve to know/be consulted on these plans.

The least I expect from Ian and Sharon is for them to visit me personally at my house and lay out their vision for the future which I should have the power to veto. The cunts.

Id say hes hiding absolutely nowt that @kent_white and the rest of WW's need to know at this tine! #looselips

The players and team management are on holiday, you’ll hear something soon enough they’re back in the building next week.

Firstly, "numbskull" is one word.

Secondly, I don't give a fuck what they do in South Yorkshire.

Thirdly, you've been bitching and moaning about wanting to hear from the owners and/or the manager ever since the play-off final defeat.  As if you are personally owed an apology.  The owner has already come out with a statement, but that's not good enough for you.  Whether Evatt stays or go is up to him and/or the owners.  We, as fans, aren't entitled to hear anything.  Why can't you just take it as read that Evatt is staying and he intends to get us promoted next season?  Why do you need to hear him say it?

Completely missing the point as normal so rather than trade insults like a child let’s just agree to disagree. I’ll post my thoughts and you post yours.

So if they all come out and say Wembley was shit and that they'll piss the league next season will that make a difference? Will you no longer feel insulted? Will it make a difference to anyone else who has bought a season ticket? Will it reassure those who haven't already bought one?

Or will it make no fucking difference to anyone but you?

Wow! We must be the only club with people on holiday then because all the local papers around here are full every night of comments from managers and players and without reading them I’d guess pretty much every other area’s papers are too. I think it’s insulting to fans saying zero, you don’t and we’re not going to agree on it so let’s just accept that at least?

But there’s only you who feels insulted.

Most rational folks are staying calm and not needing any apologies.

Numbskull.

It’s just me then, that’s settled so just fook off now and leave it.

We'll all gladly leave it.

... But when you next start acting like a petulant child we'll go through this all over again.

They WILL have to report back in a pre agreed fitness condition, so most are working with fitness trainers (alongside pro’s from other clubs) to get into shape.

Sincey needs to get onto @Rudy for his updates I reckon.

Yeah, but to be honest the Tyke doesn't travel well. They need their ketchup & HP, PG Tips & the bingo.

As for mental health, Kyle Dempsey was convicted of a (very serious) crime. The victim in that crime would no doing have suffered serious mental health consequences. If she is committed to it as she says, he should have been dismissed (regardless of his asset value). On the basis that he wasn’t, I’d say there’s some virtue signalling going on

Nothing is black and white. My post isn’t implying that I have an issue with her. She’s been great for the club. But none of us are perfect.

Anyway, apologies for taking the transfer thread off on a tangent.

She currently has 10 involvements in various companies (director) as well as previous ones.

Whatever, her background, she won't have succeeded purely by putting some money in to various companies and hoping for the best.

Far more skill and knowledge required than that. We can see how she's transformed our club since the days of Kunterson- that's through a shrewd knowledge of business, and bringing in the right people to assist.

As for Dempsey, we don't know the full circumstances; what was discussed and put to him by management etc. He may well have had to undertake actions that were kept private.

To suggest that because he wasn't sacked means that she's "signalling" is very black and white, despite you saying otherwise.

True that no one is perfect, but drawing conclusions about someone without knowing the full picture certainly isn't going to yield a fair and accurate assessment.

Fair enough.

Everything has context, including my original comment.

I’m not here to argue, but when I post something, rest assured it’s not coming from a place of ignorance or emotion.

I think it's insulting to fans to start spouting and speculating when there's nothing to be said. If we're trying to sign players they should keep their traps shut until the deals are done - too many times we've had prospects stolen from under our noses. If there are changes in the managerial pipeline at the club they should say fuck all until they actually happen - and ideally keep it shut until a solution is in place.

Speculation is unprofessional and potentially damaging and as much as some needy fans want to know everything that is going on behind the scenes, it usually goes causes discontent when it turns out not to be true.

Genuine question.

Which prospects have we had stolen from under our noses?

And in those cases what caused them to be taken from us?

Haven't got the time but there have been loads. One bloke actually signed for us and then went to City, but at least we got compen for that one.

Dietmar Hamann? 18 years ago? Who wasn’t even stolen from us!

Hopefully tomorrow you’ll have time to come up with a more up to date example. I’ll take even just one since the start of Football Ventures reign!
