July 1, 20242 yr My question would be: is proven at this level good enough? and is he better than Sheehan? if the answer to either of these is no, then why are we in for him? Edited July 1, 20242 yr by Zog1

Because it's a squad game and there's no way Sheehan can manage every game. Plus with Maghoma gone our already lacking midfield is a player down. Edited July 1, 20242 yr by frank_spencer
July 1, 20242 yr Faced with banked defences as we often will be next season finding a replacement for Maghoma and possibly someone else with the technical ability to open doors for us is a priority. Maybe that's what Evatt sees in Randall?

July 1, 20242 yr 2 minutes ago, Casino said: is the greek fella not a maghoma replacement? Sort of, but I'm not sure we're going like for like and I think we need more to open up defences. If anything I see "the greek fella" as more of a Dempsey type player. Also think that if we were going to replace Sheehan who has been playing as a 6 recently we'd be looking for a playmaker who can defend better than Sheehan and I'm not sure Randall can do that. Hard to know what's going on in the mind of Evatt et al, especially as they alluded to having more tactical flexibility this year (or plan A 2.0 as he referred to it) All will be revealed. In the BN "seeking VFM" article there was also a suggestion that money may be available for January signings depending on where we're at then so who knows how we'll start the season?

July 1, 20242 yr Sheehan out, Randall in. Simple Similiae type player except Randall excels in big games and is a lot younger

I had the Greek down as more a Collins / Gomes type player Randall strikes me as an alernative to Magohma with 12 goals and 10 assists from midfield to sit alongside Sheehan and that midfield bastard we're yet to sign once we sign one of them, we can take a look at WBs

July 1, 20242 yr Shola Shoretire apparently leaving MUFC on a free despite being offered a contract. Doubt there would be any takers on here (me included) but it saddens me when potential isn't realised and he certainly had potential if not much else. Still only 20 and easily meets the 5'9" criterion
July 1, 20242 yr Think you will find the kid from Crawley can play several roles 1 being DM he likes getting stuck in I have been told .
