Based on what though? He's had two short loan spells in pub leagues

I'm sure he's a talent but I'm not convinced his price should've nearly doubled

LOL(os) You obviously don't rate the Scottish Prem then?

If there is any truth in the rumour - and it is only a rumour - Burnley aren't going to give him away and the price would factor in his youth, the further cost of the development of his potential (mainly admin) and market demand based on his pedigree which includes playing for England youth and an appearance in the CL - i.e. they'll get what folk are willing to pay for what is a decent punt.

he didn't rip up any trees in scotland - his next move was dutch youth football

at best its eng div 3

400k is a lot for a div 3 player

ramsay and beck have beeter CVs imo

That's my worry.  If he's akin to a  Connor Bradley then Burnley wouldn't be loaning him out. If he's more Beck or Ramsay I'd be upset if we were squandering money on him.

sat next to Jim McDonough at midnight mass once (only time I ever went to midnight mass - bet he was gutted the year after).

delivered papers to his house and Ray Train's.

bumped into Big Sam and Brownie in Copenhagen and had a surprisingly long drunken natter. (I was conscious of being pissed and mithering, so kept trying to end the conversation, at which point one or other of them would start another story)

Oh, and once had a piss next to Peter Reid.

Also used to know someone who knew someone who went to school with Tony Gubba's niece.

hobnobbed with the stars me.

Went to see Frank Worthington speaking at The Station in Pendlebury. Was stood at a urinal whilst Alan Thompson was pissing in the sink chanting "Toon Army"

His Wiki states he had a brief spell at Hibs

I don't know if @Leyther_Matt can give us any insight

Don’t recall him standing out tbh, but he was playing in a plodding side intent to knock the ball between themselves without any real intent. Should fit in fine really 😬

would prefer a loan miself, with a view or whatever

other than Bradley and Trafford, we've had some shite young uns with supposed potential from decent teams

Shoretire, Beck, Ramsey, Mbete, Amaechi etc

would hate to have spunked 500k+ on any of those and be stuck with them

You missed Nlundulu from that list of shite young uns. Oh shit, we did then pay hundreds of thousands for him!

Your lad seems to be spot on most times !

He’s on holiday in Croatia at the moment and he’s messaging some reliable contacts he’s made who are giving him some decent info… not getting everything right but quite a few coming to fruition. He’s just messaged me to say Joel Randell bid been accepted.

Isn't that what Randall would be? We'd have Sheehan, The Greek and Randall

Baxter at the back?
Aaron Collins in attack?

We'd have Sheehan, The Greek and Randall

on the bench, Ade-boy-ejo?

Joel Randell is a Bolton player according to Wikipedia!

The Posh fans are probably 50/50 on whether or not they want him to stay. Most saying he couldnt tackle a good meal! Surely we dont want to be spending big on another none tackling midfielder?

I don’t take much notice of fans as they can knock a player for the sake of wait till he plays for us then we can see he scores goals and let’s be fair our midfield are noted for scoring many apart from Maghoma who was bang average!

Not too much by way of BWFC celebrity stuff. Delivered papers to Julian Darby's house when he played for us. Once had a good natter to Alan Waldron. Chris Thompson presented us with our end of season trophies one year for the Bolton Federation. Also had a good natter one night in a boozer to the ref who gave the penalty that McGinlay scored v PNE to get us promoted in 93. I think he was called David Allison.

I can claim to be three steps from a Beatle. My mate's Dad was George Harrison's bank manager.
