Not heard that name for a while. I miss those little chips up the right wing. Landed out of play every time. Takes some skill that.

That was Phil Brown! Scotty was on the other side, a couple of years previously.

both right backs

They were went they? Just had a brain fart then thinking Scotty was left back. Was it Deakin on the left when he was on the right?

Apparently the lad we are after has the speed of derek Scott and the tackling skills of Chris eagles.  Almost the perfect player.

Once he comes here he'll probably stay as fit as Tyrone Mears with our luck (useless info, he's now the manager of Fort Lauderdale in Florida).

When we signed him I thought it was a real coup!  Same summer Phil Neal signed Allardyce and Sutton?  But yes a poor fullback, I grew to like his attitude and leadership qualities especially as a central defender.  Definitely gave 100% but basically Div 4 standard.  Seemed to score a few for Burnley from midfield but never looked capable of a goal for us, just a tackler.

He wasn’t the worst full back we had at that time either. Eric Snookes and Ray Deakin were both terrible.

Jimmy Phillips mostly during his first spell.  Dave Sutton used to often hit it for a throw in near the corner flag, didn't know whether it was his lack of ability or tactical like the Rugby bummers do.

My lad messaged me said It’s Egan Riley, could be loan move. No idea where he’s getting his info from.

Your lad seems to be spot on most times !

Mixu lived next door to me. His (then) Misses used to put disposable nappies down the toilet. Blocked the whole street - twice.

He was a decent bloke though.

Did he have kids or did his Misses do it for a laugh
