There's Dara Costello 21 yr old Irishman, been on loan from Clarets in Scotch Premier last season and Bratford season before that, right sort of profile, but he's a left sided winger I think not a defender.

Looking on wiki, came through at city with a couple of first team appearances 

Kompany signed him for Burnley, but only played 3 times, got sent out on loan twice but only played a dozen or so times in Scotland and Holland

Owen Dodgson is the other young left back. 

Egan-Riley would fit the bill, can play either side as well as defensive mid or centre back at a push

Matt le tissier was seeing my mates sister, he came in the local one random Tuesday night, I beat him at darts and pool.   Forfeit was he had to big bwfc up and predict a 3-0 win on jeff stellings show the coming Saturday.     He did it (he had no choice he was pussy whipped).

Andy Hinchcliffe's grand daughter is in the same class as my daughter so see him occasionally at kids parties and chat to him about football 

He doesn't support a team and outside of his commentary job hardly watches football

I'm sure he's a talent but I'm not convinced his price should've nearly doubled
