We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Aye really impressed with him so far. Also didn’t realise what a unit Erhahon is. We’re not getting bullied with those 2 in the team.

Looking at it from a one day perspective…

Getting rid of Baxter (bench) Southwood (lost to Fleetwood) Collins, Tomo, Santos (injured) wasn’t too much of a hardship

Good luck to all of them

Even though 2 are possibly the worst captains I've known

But they've moved to a level and I do hope they give a good account of themselves in the championship

Me too. Don’t wish any of them any bad will.

But more pleased that if today is anything to go by, we won’t miss them and regret getting rid.

This is coming from somebody who wouldn’t have picked Johnston or Sheehan today, so I hold my hand up,  I got it wrong.

You only got it wrong if the 2 you would have picked either played crap, or resulted in us not winning, or both!  If for eg you wanted Morley and Forino, but we went with Johnston and Sheehan and won 2-0, how do you know we wouldn't have won 4-0 with your two?

I think we all get caught up in line ups having to be right or wrong, when nobody knows, including SS but he has to make the calls.  We put 11 good players on the pitch against 11 other decent players, plus subs, and hope they play better than the opposition.

Next week we try again at Barnsley and the same players might lose as they did at Stockport, that doesn't mean SS picked the wrong team.

He can pick any of this squad and that's the right team win lose or draw.

Good that Schumacher takes as much notice of you as the rest of us do

Still be under Evatts management with complete fools like you

No problem with Schumacher............Dont you remember i wanted him as a manager yet you wanted Evatt to keep his job

Crazy that Simons has cost around 350k.

Absolute steal.

Considering what we sold Thomasson for

Did we get a fair chunk of the huge fee we paid for Schon back?

In simple 9 year old gamer terms, my son described our team yesterday as an upgrade in every position.

I doubt we'd get anything back, I'd imagine the club would just want to get him off the payroll. Think we'll have to cut our losses on the original fee.

also other than jones, it looks like none of santos, Baxter, Collins or tommo actually played yesterday.

Southwood started for Bristol, who lost to Fleetwood..

Fleetwood have a former BWFC keeper too in Jay Lynch.

What I saw yesterday, to a degree, was the benefit of going for players who've been brought up at top clubs, even if they haven't made it (yet), as opposed to investing heavily in ones that might be good operators in L1 but have their ceiling. Simons, ACD, Burstow, and obviously TSL have that bit about them that sets them apart, as Trafford, Bradley, Maghoma etc have had in the recent past.

It doesn't always follow (Mbete, Shoretire) but this mix SS and Fergal have brought in look decent.

Have a bit of humility!!

You come on making such bold claims with an air of superiority.

It is all about opinions, we all have one, just like arseholes. But just like arseholes they sometimes really stink. Better to own up to them than let them waft around and point the finger at others. Makes you look a right cunt.

Throw Lolos into the non-starting/not in the squad mix too

Didnt even consider him he was that shit it was never in question 😆

Certainly feels like a full squad reset, which is what many wanted after the Wembley no show.

Apart from the fact that we did !

Maybe you're thinking Duberry. That may be a stretch. Agreed.

We wanted football with some passion, speed & an attacking mindset. We wanted an end to tippy-tappy & faux Pep-ball. We wanted an end to effete midfields and players who went missing when things got tough.

This has the potential to be that. There's a way to go mind.

I was calling out Masi's assertion we wouldn't be signing him when the rumour first broke.

However I agree on ACD, so far looks to be a cut above!

If Schön is off good luck to him cannot call his commitment but why did Evatt sign him I will never know.

Part of his ongoing obsession of signing wingers & trying (& failing) to make them wing-backs.

He was a strange bloke.

Schön I liked & thought there was a player there but he, ultimately, produced nothing.
