Great news that we're getting young players that might step up in the future  - without investment coming in, it's probably our best hope of progressing - but I doubt that any of these will be starting games next season.

I think it'd be worth waiving the fee to get him off the books now. Thinking back to the Summer of 2015 is it astonishing that we offered him such an advantageous deal only to be on the breadline with the taxman on our case by November that year.

Any CEO or FD that can't predict that the company will be suffering a severe cash flow problem or worse in less that 6 months time, isn't doing their job properly.  Shows how badly we were run towards the end of the previous administration.   Not exclusively a football thing but a lot of it based on wishful thinking in football e.g. getting promotion or more funding from some rich benefactor.

It's paying his wages up and even if whoever only pay him 3 a week, it's still 150k

Hindsight !!!  After the way he played for us whilst on loan, getting him for nothing &, tieing him down to a 4 year contract , even if on huge wages ,looked a good deal for us. Win -win, we get a couple of years out of a top, young keeper, & then if we don't go up, sell him for a big profit.

 

Sadly it all turned to shit when his goalkeeping turned to shit.......I don't think i've seen another player lose form / confidence as dramatically as Amos did.
