We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Personally I think this squad is more then capable of pushing for promotion. I don't believe that Evatt has missed out on any of his targets. Looking forward to next season.     https://mobile.twitter.com/BurndenWay/status/1291442291102621697/photo/1

i am not even going to pretend i know how that team will do in league 2.

For starters, I think it’ll be Doyle & Fonz up top.

With three CB’s and playing with wingbacks I’m not sure where Poltic fits in.

Crellin best get plenty practice at saving pens in .

Hopefully under a decent manager in right position he wont be a liability . and before Casino points it out we are at a lower level now. Be Reet but Bowton Baked might.not be happy

Baptiste brought back into the club by Phoenix.

I think the good think about Politic is he's versatile and seems willing to adapt, so we could see him all over the place. RWB, ST, CAM, CM and he'd offer something different in each of those roles. He'll still be an asset in a 3-5-2.

Really looking forward to the new season might win a few games for once

Everything I've seen so far seems to be done in a certain order. First getting Darcy and Politic to sign new deals then a decent goal scorer comes in. Sarcevic could be playing in a bigger division, he looks like a solid all rounder same with Comley.

The defence looks mean as fuck, all massive and athletic. This Gordan lad looks like asset imo.

Options up top now too.

A couple more and we'll have 2 players fighting for each position.

All this without spending a penny on a transfer fee.

Didn’t Freedman play him at RB ? Ffs

And lest we forget, LB. If he can retain any of his previous ability and stay fit, I have no reason to doubt that Baptiste will be pushing for a starting spot ahead of Delaney.

Haven’t seen enough of Delaney to give a solid opinion but he was signed before Evatt, so favouritism might come into it.

Being an older head that knows IE well, I see no reason why he couldn’t play a part in coaching too, similar to Gilks.

Potentially a very good signing I reckon. Was made a scapegoat played out of position and got flak for seemingly taking in a big wage/signing on fee previously. A clean slate and hope it works out.

Freidman the moron played Baptiste at leftback at Yeovil & then publicly scapegoated him when he conceded a penalty .Shithousery of magnitude from good old Dougie.

Decent move for him.

Hull are on the slide. be busy there

I always thought Baptiste looked a bit mongy.

😂

Ferdinand, Beardsley, Crouch, Bunney...

Not everybody can look like Cristiano.

One things for sure, Baptiste won't be playing a wingback role for us, he'll add great experience and cover for central defense though, could be a shrewd signing.

You forgot Chadwick.

Well, I was gonna put him on there but I heard him on the radio the other week, saying that he'd been traumatised and had to receive counselling because of all the abuse he'd got over the years, so my compassionate side kicked in.

But if you want to add him, fine. 🤣

Not been this excited for a BWFC season for a long time

I’d love to have that mindset. This is the first summer for over 40 years I’ve not been excited for the football season (apart from last year for obvious reasons). I’m struggling to have more than a passing interest in what’s going on simply because we can’t attend. It feels like I’ve emigrated and just on nodding terms with what’s going on. I just need the matchday buzz back (buzz not bus) I don’t care who’s wearing the shirt or who the manager is for now.

He was probably relieved to escape the soap opera here and asked his agent to find him a stable, financially secure club where there’s no off field dramas and he can just concentrate on his football and not worry about getting paid.  Maybe next time.

Hmm. Rather us be in a decent position and doing well for when we can go back.

We'll need some entertainment/positive distraction- would be awful having to go back to what it was previously.

Trust Johnny to come and put a dampener on it!

I cant see it so its not happening 😥

All those wonderful players released  how dare they

Agree, some writing him off and hea hardly kicked a ball. @tshape has bet me £50 he will get over 1o goals this season. ( I said closer to 20)

Another lie and you know it. That chicken at West Brom already had bite marks.

Eh?

He signed after the takeover and won't have had to worry about being paid at all.

I'm starting to wonder if Johnny is actually a BWFC fan.

Or he’s probably overrated by some and unwanted by Evatt.
