FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Keep hearing those tinpot cunts from up the road (Wigan not Blackburn) have had a bid accepted. Really hope he doesn't end up there.

Honestly, I was genuinely surprised the parasitic scum didn't try to sign him over the summer.

As has been mentioned already, fits their transfer MO.

Aside from a bit of creativity I think we’re well stocked midfield wise.

Iles reckons it's not a NW club for Dapo - and then Evatt just murdered the German by saying "Nein comment" in the presser - so St Pauli looking favourite.

He’s only got 18 months left on his contract. In terms of getting true ‘value’ for him then he has to really have more than a year on his contract, otherwise clubs would let him just wind the last year down.

As with other transfer decisions, I have full trust in the management team that all elements have been considered and they genuinely think it’s the best thing for the club and the team - not just the bank.

Not much in the way of ambition though!

Plus, they could offer him a million a week, but if they don't pay it...

That’s from a mentality of you hate Wigan tho. They are currently in the championship and will pay more.

that’s all it is especially at this level. A job

I'm not sure they're favourite as such, just that they've been named publicly.

Three clubs have apparently met our valuation, two of the in the Championship. I'd think it's probably more likely he'll sign for one of them (unless the financial offer from St Pauli blows them out of the water).

I doubt they have the funds they seem to be taking out of contract players and loan deals atm signed Caulker who was released from a Turkish club, Tyler Beckett from MLS after he was released and an Arsenal youngster on loan as well a midfielder from Shaktar Donetsk according to the knobhead I work with who supports Wigan.

This is about as dynamic a January transfer window as I've known in the first half of the month. Seems to be a dozen or more deals going through every day, a hell of a lot of wheeling and dealing going on. Flogging players more than halfway through their contracts seems to be name of the game.

On the face of it that ought to be good news for us in terms of choice/range of options. We've got a bit of money to spend. How competitive will we be with wages?

Very, very interesting times. Judgements made in the next few weeks will affect us for quite some time to come. Lots of pressure on Chris Markham and his team to make the right calls from the fans but also the board.

Woah there hoss. A bit of a leap there, without foundation.

I don't hate any team, far too strong an emotion to waste on football.

It is however clearly obvious that a move to Wigan, even if it does pay more, is hardly a an ambitious one, given their circumstances. Just plainly obvious, no matter what team is down there.

If a guaranteed half a season of championship football is the limits, then he's better off away from us, as I'd expect any player worth their salt to want to better themselves more than that, whether here or elsewhere.

Hence why it wouldn't surprise me if Ipswich were to try and sign him.

That said it seems from Evatt's comments that it's either Germany or the championship.

Wonder how much Randell Williams cost us.

Would love to see us splash a little bit more just as a statement of intent.

He's not going to Wigan you fucking moonmen.

As unlikely as it is, now that you've said that, it's probably a bit more likely.

Heard a rumour we're swapping stadiums at the end of the season.

Excited Lets Go GIF

Forest Green. Enjoy Vegjauary..

If it’s a Championship club I’d suspect it’s a London club nearer his origins so I’d suggest the likes of Charlton, QPR or maybe even Luton would all be able to afford him easily. However the swop at Burnley for Twine is still hanging about and Burnley do like their wingers who cut in and shoot.

He'd be bench warming for Zaroury and Benson who are both better than Dapo so I can't see it.

Why, ffs

As for dapo, imo you dont make it difficult for him to leave

Moneyball involves us buying players on the up and youre more likely to sign promising talent if you show youre not going to be twattish about selling them

As an aside, when did we last make a profit on a player we brought in from another club

Is it madine?

If we are splitting hairs we technically just made a profit on Baka. Imagine it wasn’t huge mind

Whaddya reckon we got for Baka? 50-100k?
