I've got mixed feelings about May. The lad undeniably has a great recent scoring record at League 1, but he's 30 in July. As such ought we to be offering a big fee? It is effectively dead money on a player that age - no re-sale value. It certainly doesn't fit the sustainability model FV and Evatt operate by. 

For me if he does the business and we get promoted age isn’t an issue, yes good point about the model however we signed kachunga at 29/30 on a decent deal

 

Rumour Preston may be in for Charles......Thats where the May rumour is coming from

Yes.

We'll only spend what we can afford, but a two year deal perhaps in an attempt to get us up would make sense.

May apparently wants to move closer to Kent. Lives in Donny atm and wants to go back closer to where he’s from originally. Can’t see us getting him unless we make him an incredible offer. I hope the Preston Dion rumour is rubbish. He’d be tough and expensive to replace.

Not keen on Charles to Preston. They aren’t renowned for throwing big money at anyone. Saying that if they offer our magical £500k number who knows😂

If the moneys right for both the player and club he’s going, simple as that. I hope it’s bollocks but you just never know and to be fair it’s now the clubs intention to bring in players, improve them and sell on at a profit.

He ain’t going to Preston…. I don’t see him thinking it’s an upward move, and they won’t pay enough to tempt us to sell him.

Having just checked Nixon's tweet I don't think one of the two players he's linking us with tomorrow will be May. On Saturdays he always lists the teams he'll cover on Sunday - whether a selling or buying club. Cheltenham don't get mentioned.

Spot on. My only worry is IE giving him less minutes and sees it as a fitness issue and may see someone else as a better fit. Hope I’m over thinking it as I like him
