We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Just watched the 42 McCauley Langstaff goals for Notts County last year and whilst you’d have to question the defences he faced he certainly looks a talent but it was also interesting to see how well Adam Chicksen played for them. I was disappointed we let him leave but he seems to have found a good home at County.

Both Chicksen and Jeff King were in the National League Team of the season alongside Langstaff and Mullen

Messi going to the football graveyard. Good luck to him. It’s well deserved. Miami fans have had some week. Getting rid of Neville and then getting Messi.

Bellingham done too. Can’t stand Real Madrid but as a player if they call, you go. Good luck to him

Yep. If Kane turns down the chance to go there to give another 12 months to this new fella at spurs and/or break the PL scoring record he’s as mongy as he looks

How do you know it is not a B team target ?

I don't, nobody does. Well apart from the club. Although i can say that the B team is currently made up of players let go by the academies in the leagues above. Like this new lad from Leeds. I think we're looking for an Aaron Mooy type.

just back from the pink concert

make of this what you will but McClean was in the chairman's suite with Sharon, Evatt and Neil Hart, all looked friendly enough to

He has them on strings, takes them everywhere

Surprised that Bodvarsson contract taking longer to announce than Sheehan. Exeter were supposed to be interested in him, probably some others too.

Wonder if Bod has other offers on the table, or if we've offered reduced wages due to injury proneness.

Maybe the opposite

Had to tie Sheehan down because of other offers

No other options for JDB right now, so no rush

Well we don’t actually know there aren’t any other options for Bod do we but I suspect any offer would have to also take into account his injury and lack of playing time so I’d have thought seeing as he seems to be happy here and wanted by the fans it would have to be a very poor offer for him to leave?

Seems to have been a bit slow on us being linked with other players.

8 June is still very early in the Summer but I'd have hoped we'd have made inroads in to improving the squad by the time we reach late June.

I'd rather not be linked with anyone and first we see of it be deal done. Been a few like that since Evatt came in.

To be fair many players will still be on holiday and even if not we can’t really do anything until next week when the window opens so hopefully things will speed up after that. I’m hoping that Evatt’s going for quality this time though so we may have to fight a bidding war with other clubs for the best players?

Certainly some of our worst summers involved multiple early signings - Sammy Lee's in 2007 and Freedman about a decade ago when he'd signed Feeney, Trotter and Danns before the end of May.

On the whole you're probably right but it'd still be good to see one or two heartening deals in the next 10-20 days.

I don't know anything at all about it

just guessing

Senior got fixed up.  Like the lad.  Not good enough for L1 at the moment but think he'll play higher than NL at some point.

Obviously only room for one Senior at Halifax...

Good luck to him.

Aye wish him well.

Rumour going round is we've moved ahead of Derby for Alfie May

Nixon says he'll run a story tomorrow linking us with a couple of names and he's also told Derby fans that another team has jumped in front of them re May. Probably me doing 2+2=5 but we'll know in 24 hours.

I reckon it's Charlton got ahead for May, not us.

I just can't see us signing Alfie May
