Just had a home made chicken curry with cauliflower/red onion

Took about 40 minutes from starting prep to eaten

The cauliflower isn't a bad option at all

You have to whisper this

But veg curries are far superior to any with meat in.

It really doesn't have to ruin your life all this. It's just about staying consistent and using common sense.

Moderate carbs on training days with high protein and low carbs on non training days. (I can afford more carbs because of my job)

My diet on a fat cutting phase which I'm on now....

Poached eggs and a banana/fruit for breakfast.

Chicken breast or flat iron steak for mid morning.

Brazing steak or omelette for dinner.

Any variety of Meat and veg for tea with a jacket spud.

Protein shake for after training /before bed.

Keep your proteins High and your carbs as low as you can. Fuck bread off. Don't eat carbs at night if your going to sit and watch telly.

I'm roughly above 14 stone. I want to get down to about 13.2 but retain as much muscle mass as possible.

Flat iron steak

Dunno where this came from but it's an excellent addition to a curry

Is it OK on its own?

Aye it's sound to nibble on, high in creatine and protein and dirt cheap.

I get 2 packs from choice meats for £5 ( either 2 large or 3 little steaks in one pack)

If you take dinner to work with you fry them on a griddle pan with some low cal spray and make a stir fry or risotto with it.

Cauliflower in curry is a game changer. Beautiful! Soaks in all the flavours.

Broccoli shits all over cauliflower.

And Tomski is spot on, gayest thread ever.

We're all pushing back too.

What makes you bad makes you better.

Best curry I ever had was a veg one in some back street ramshackle joint in some mountain forest town in india miles from anywhere youd heard of

There was no way we were risking the meat in that place

There's also a veg only place in burnage thats meant to be very good but not been yet

Most of these faddy diets are just a temporary fix i.e. - as soon as you get bored of the diet, the weight will come back on in spades.

To be a permanent weight loss it has to be a lifestyle change -

Eat more of the right things

Eat smaller portions

Exercise more.

The weight will come off and stay off.

You can even carry on having a booze and the odd treat every few days.

We agree then. Spot on.

Broccoli and cauliflower can both fuck off.

I'd rather use tapeworms to lose weight.

F-plan diet for me.

Five pints and a Fucking hot curry. Shit it out. It's what nature intended.

At the start of 2001 A Space Odyssey, Kubrick didn't show an alien-induced great leap forward in human evolution by having an ape-man get the sudden urge to lamp a fucking cauliflower with a jaw bone. The greatest cut in film history didn't show a lump of fucking broccoli transform into an orbiting spacecraft.

Which gets me thinking - on a tangent - Spice Odyssey would be a good name for a curry house. I suppose it's been done though.

It could have a Kubrick themed menu. I suppose.

Come on then - let's put our money where our mouths are.

I'm 80kg

23.5% bodyfat.

By the end of 2017 I aim to be 76kg 21. 5% bodyfat.

Post your goals on here and let's see how we get on! :-)

I'm 18 stone 10.. body fat was 21% last time I checked.

Goal is 17 stone.

Going for runs doesnt help much as its a lot of weight to shift and further builds leg muscles

Ive been boxing recently but had to stop due to work and a long going shoulder injury.. a career change might be on the cards which will help.

Problem I have is that I like crisps too much. Im diabetic (diet controlled) and my sugar intake is actually quite low.

Started playing football 4 times a week. Im shit.. but that seems to be the best workout I can do atm.

Obviously exercise is very important when trying to lose weight. It can be catch 22 if you're carrying an injury and can't run or use a treadmill. For anyone in this position i would recommend taking up cycling - it's easier on the body than running yet it burns calories for fun.

I'm about 16st give or take a couple of lbs on any given day and around 5ft 9. I have no specific goal other than to drop a noticeable few lbs, get back in 36 ins kex and just be generally all round fitter/healthier
