Leyther_Matt Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Can anyone recommend somewhere decent in Chinatown for next Friday? Preferably somewhere where I won't be shitting through the eye of a needle on the Saturday. Quote
Spider Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Long Legs If you must eat, Little Yang Sing ticks all the boxes Quote

Marc505 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Phetpailin, its Thai but one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. Bring your own booze, food is excellent. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Like the Thai restaurants round there. Did a few when I worked there. Don't know if its still there, but a little one opened on Sackville street; was good and being a little out of Chinatown might be a bit quiter. Ikan. The old monkey nearby was great for ale if you're into joey holts. Quote

embankment Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Trust me on this. The Great Wall restaurant . At the rear of the old Monkey. On the left hand side of the street as you walk towards the Arch. Its downstairs. Reasonably priced , good food . No after effects. Give it a go. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Fireworks in a restaurant ? Would it be Guy Forks night ? Aye, they did invent gunpowder after all. In a stereotypical way wouldn't they pronounce it "gay fox" night. Plenty of plawn clackers available whilst watching the lockets. Quote

Swapped for Slaves. Taken to the Americas. Swapped for Cotton. Transported to Lancashire Cotton Mills. And thats why most of us are here. Except for the daft sods in Westhoughton who burnt the mill down. Went for a pint in the White Lion.Got arrested. 2 were hung. The others transported to Aussie . As an advance party for Bolty. Quote
Guest Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Can't go wrong with little yang sing or wings if you decide to go Chinese. Quote
Bigtoe Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 I dont like chinese food. Do enjoy all other asian food though. If its just about the food then I am Pho is good and also there is a place called Siam Smiles down in a supermarket which is ace. Very basic though. Quote

Wings is massively over-priced and The Little Yang Sing (was always my favourite) has disappeared up it's own arsehole and become shite I dont like chinese food. Do enjoy all other asian food though. Vietnamese which is simply brilliant Quote

MancWanderer Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 I'll agree to disagree on Wings. Have had better in many places but each to their own Not been to Try Thai. Where is it? For Thai I like the place in Spinningfields owned by Chaophrya who's name I can't remember Loved Pho every time I've been but it's always been a bit early like 7pm after a few beers Quote
