They don't call it 'the brain drain' for nowt...

The elite that live there aren't shit scared of losing what they've acquired, or are confident they'll recoup loss - so they vote socially rather than economically.

Unlike the provincial cap-wringing ghastly aspirational classes - kidding themselves the likes of Boris DePeffal Sulaiman Alexandre Pettigrew Johnson (born: New York City, U.S.A.) would micturate on them if they were to immolate.

Sir Khan anyone?

Indeed, I was a bit annoyed about the council tax hike but I've just got a 2% pay rise so that covers that and if it helps overall, then I'm happy to contribute and support the contribution.

Dunno what ours went to, but not far from the £2k this skinflint Doctor was moaning about paying - living in some leafy and well catered environ, not some northern shithole.

It's only £40 a week, that's only a tenner apiece for a family of four, the tight-arsed little monkey. Some folk spend a tenner on 1.5 cans of hipster piss.

Nah, I don't mind it, if we directly paid private firms for our services I dread to think of the cost.

Cunts like The Taxpayer's Alliance want shooting.

When folk ask we bother re what is happening north of the border......easy......they're using our money to feather their nests......yes guys, your hard earned.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, with reports coming through that Sturgeon and her husband have been visited by the plod up there for further and large amounts of missing funds, and are now under investigation. Stayed tuned to your taxes paid by our government to them being used fraudulently.

Hope some ears are pricked now

Comments a few weeks back in parliament about uk funds being sent up to Scotland for post brexit business help. Suggestions it deliberately hadn't been used, and was still sat in accounts.

Get that back too.

It’s being used for pre-election promises/bribes.

4% rise for nhs staff paid for from covid relief funds sent by Westminster.

laptop or tablet for every schoolchild - paid for by the same funds

also promising to scrap council tax for under 22’s. The same council tax they promised to scrap completely in 2016 if re-elected 😎

all if the snp are re-elected

Is the Labour Party under Keir Starmer capable of winning the next General Election in 2024?

Yes: 30% No: 43% Don’t know: 27%

51% of Labour voters, 40% of Liberal Democrat voters, and 17% of Conservative voters say yes.

All depends what happens post lockdown and whether there's any demonstrable issues caused by Brexit. Long time to go yet!

Oh yes, a long way to go.

the interesting stat for me was that only 51% of Labour voters think Sir Keir can win.

I am not sure Kier is leadership material. However, with Covid being at the forefront of everything for over a year it is hard to be certain.

NI doesn't seem to be getting the attention it deserves on these shores but that issue isn't going away any times soon.

Starmer has missed his chance to purge Labour of Corbyn's croneys while all eyes were on the pandemic.

Labour are unelectable with the likes of Abbott, Lammy & co still around but having the inevitable infighting of a purge in the months leading up to an election will also make them unelectable.

It's hard work to convince folk that the people in power now are a bunch of crooks.

There's only one thing that people are interested in at the moment and that's COVID. It would be daft tactically for Labour to go on an all out offensive during a national crisis. I expect once we're on firmer ground Labour will decide what issues it thinks it can challenge the government on and gain votes.

I'm not ideologically wedded to the Labour Party btw.

For me they've made a booboo by 'electioneering' during the pandemic. Kate Green's comments may well be on a billboard or two in a few years.

Anyway, as you say, a few years to go until the next election, time for normal stuff to prevail.

Yes, you're right Micky Blue 💙 , not to mention Blackburn Council now under investigation for fraud.

Bet you're glad Leigh is blue now and forever x
