I'm left of centre and I agree, it's not the best idea.
But rather than just saying no, we need to tackle the issue properly which hasn't been done here since Brexshit.

Exactly. It's a major problem. Folk seem to want to turn you in to some far right gammon for suggesting it needs to stop and a large portion of those coming over are part of bigger problem. 

I'm all for helping Folk, but christ it's way beyond that now. It's a full blown business. 

We've got people who just refuse to accept its an issue. We both know a lad who wants to use these migrants to sort our aging population issues.

Economic migrants fine.

Folk fleeing war torn countries fine.

Folk sent by criminal gangs on boats to exploit our system not fine.

The theme on here last night was that these people are in need of help and are being stopped from working.

The conversation was about double standards and folk being OK with Ukraine refugees and not the boat people.

I'm saying the boat problem is a lot more troublesome than the Ukrainians landing here for reasons clear as day.

But some refuse to accept to like to downplay those reasons.
