Whites man
Council advise their road closure bill would have been £1k not the £11k I mentioned or the £27k in the initial post.
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 30, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted August 30, 2017 Perhaps they need to look at doing something different. A measured distance in a "cross country" type thing. Start at moses gate and utilise the canal towpaths and country park in a circular route. Not quite fell running but less bland than roads. Wouldn't have to close roads and could make a bit of an event of it, with the space available at the car parks and fields.
Whites man
There's a trial half marathon in Rivington. If there was a better course I am sure the Bolton event would have been more popular but the long stretch of it alongside the Middlebrook caused pinch points and wasn't particularly scenic. Traf
The Bolton News say the scrapping of this race is the worst thing to happen to sport in the area for years. They clearly don't remember BWFC being minutes from liquidation, whilst that fat cunt Iles was painting his daughter's bedroom.

Smiley
Or up and down the train tracks Most sensible reply I've read. Trains don't run on them, so let the runners use the space!
