birch-chorley Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Ameobi is a class act Granted his fitness is questionable but he’s still the best we have on the ball by some way His performances haven’t been great recently but I’d like to think that’s got more to do with the fact we have been so poor as a team If we are to do the business on Sunday then we need to get him on the ball with some space to work and some options to pass to in the final third Quote

That’s nobody else’s fault. Quote
itdiddidit? Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 according to my man ITK the south stand lower tier is shut as the old bill wanted an extra 18k if it was open Quote
Moon boy Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 What’s happened to Vela? His energy and goal scoring ability has not been evident this season, why? He’s not played many minutes lately so should be capable of giving it for 90mins Quote

radcliffe white Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 according to my man ITK the south stand lower tier is shut as the old bill wanted an extra 18k if it was open suppose at them prices the club couldn’t see forest selling top tier, think they offered some free or discounted travel hence why the sold the allocation Quote

So let’s not make him Messi. He is however our only player who looks like creating anything. If Derik Henry and Pratley all start Parky best wear a tin hat. I agree that Henry looks shot and think Pratley has been rushed back and not fit. I would go with Vela as despite a poor season he does not hide. Distribution from centre halves gets slated but when midfield do not want ball not much they can do but at least let’s compete for the second ball. Vela is more likely to be near enough ALF to do that. Anyone suggesting wilbrham is crazy not sure he competed for a single ball at Burton he seemed intent on trying to block the defenders but got nowhere near anything. If Noone does not started I would be amazed he was the only not deserving to be shot last week of the outfield players. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I’ve a spare kids ticket for east lower. Will take if poss pls G? Quote
Roger_Dubuis Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 according to my man ITK the south stand lower tier is shut as the old bill wanted an extra 18k if it was open An odd decision to turn down money from ticket sales. At £30 each Nottm Forest would only need to sell another 600 to cover the £18,000 and I'm sure they'd sell closer to another 2,000 than 600. They'd sold out 2,145 eight days before the match. It's an attractive match for Forest with it being the last game booze up with the added bonus of potentially having a laugh at putting a club of Bolton's size in the 3rd Division Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 For me Little & Robinson have to start with Wheater Beevers & Burke .Ameobi needs to be right side with Little .Left side has been a problem all season with only Buckley able to run with the ball & link with Robinson so for me he starts as well which leaves the thorny problem of the other midfield given Alf will be up on his jack.I would go for Henry & Karacan who should have plenty in the tank as he hasnt played for yonks. ps if Noone could play leftside he would start before Buckley. radcliffe white Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Personally I wouldn’t want to see Buckley in a bolton shirt again Quote
MickyD Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Personally I wouldn’t want to see Buckley in a bolton shirt again You might as well replace Buckley with "<INSERT PLAYER NAME HERE>" because we all have a least-favourite player we wouldn't want to see in the shirt again. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Plus there are also other costs which have to be covered. The entire ticket money wouldn't go to police costs. As you say, would need to sell quite a lot more. Quote

Roger_Dubuis Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 (edited) Forest needed to sell 600 adult tickets in a week to cover the £18k police cost having already sold out the upper tier. I think that is a gamble we should have taken because it seems I rate Forest's away support more than most. We've seen Birmingham, Sheff Weds, Villa and Wolves bring 4,000 plus this season, I rate Forest at that level for a final day piss up and piss take Edited May 3, 2018 by Roger_Dubuis Quote
Marc505 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Been a bloody long week already I'm still not feeling it at all. Week leading up to Barnsley and Burton games I couldn't settle, stomach churning, hours passing like months. Flying by this week, it's been beaten out of me. Quote
mickbrown Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I dreamt we won last night. I never dream about football (it's normally Liz Hurley and a massive pool of marmalade but that for another thread). All went to last minute with goals flying in all around the grounds Quote
Big E Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 In. 6000 mile trip. Must be mad. Really puts it into perspective the commitment when you consider some fans were eager to clamber for Burton tickets but then fucked off this game when the club really needs them. such a shame. Quote
