Just read a piece that our average salary this season is £6200

More than pne,Barnsley,burton and Millwall

And only slightly behind sheff Utd and Brentford

Preston’s owner is worth a billion quid.

Obviously doesn’t fancy spunking his fortune on a football club. Wise man.

  • Is there nowhere else you can go to bore folk to death?

  • You lose all credibility banging on about Coyle for me.  On topic. It’s an odd one for me. I like him personally and am happy he can go out with his head held high.   He has to go though as we got

Spunk’s it on his horses instead.

Keep him

Hes learning, and I just think there’s a lot to be said for stability. It’s like sacking a sales guy even though he’s hit his targets 2 years running. Mental.

The only reason we should change him is if we want to push for promotion. We’re a long way off that and I think he can improve us, albeit slightly.

Hands up who’s settle for mid table next season, with maybe a cup run?

I wanted Mick McCarthy when we appointed that duffer from Palace. Think his no nonsense, in your face style suits our profile.

No slight on Parky, he has served us well and, IMO, has had two successful seasons. He will probably keep his job based on that fact alone.

I am convinced that MM would have us upper table within a relatively short time.

I get folk wanting him gone but he's pulled off something of a sporting miracle two seasons on the bounce.  Guy deserves another crack at the very least

If we start like last time out then I think I'd feel OK replacing him but not until then.

My one niggle is the way the season ended and the players response - even Wheater's comments post Forest seemed like a slight dig at PP so if the players have lost faith he'd have to go.

If he did go, MM wouldn't be a bad shout

Given what's gone on at at our club we could easily be in the 2nd Div at this point staring at oblivion - PP (and sweaty Ken) are the reasons we aren't.

Parky deserves another crack at it all things considered. The objective of staying up was achieved & christ it wasnt pretty at times

The team selections at the end were worrysome but we got over the line

Dont think MM would take the job after being overlooked in favour of Freedman

Although that was Garsides shout.

Even if he did take the job the style of play would not be much different to PP's

Agree with all this.

Sacking PP and getting MM is frying pan fire job for me.

I'm glad a lot of folk on here don't have a say in next manager haha.

Once we get our Wahabi Wonga in the bank we should be appointing Pep within days.

Aye no middle ground can be had. Mick or pep

Aye no middle ground can be had. Mick or pep

Not in the minds of many fans it can't.

Things are either utter shite or fantastic.

So big mick and his ilk will be seen by many as an acceptance of mediocrity and we should be showing ambition.

All managerial changes are massive risks, even clubs the size of manyoo cant get it right with the pick of nearly every manager in the world.

To be honest id rather stick with parky than go with one of the clutch of perennial done nowts that continually get work in the Championship.

Agree on a lot of that but I would always rather flip the coin than go with a steady appointment if that makes sense.

A lot will depend on budgets of course. But I don't think it takes a lot to make inroads in this division

Don't get me wrong there's better out there but who would come and who would do better with no pot to piss in?

If I thought we could challenge for the playoffs I'd not even consider MM - I do think his style would probably suit where we are right now.

If we somehow get investment or takeover I think parky will get potted

As for who takes over I wouldn't mind Warburton ex Brentford and rangers

I'd take PP over any ex player who's overseen a few 5 a sides to get some qualifications

There is an aspect of this discussion which has not really been considered .

What do folks think Parky would do if another club came calling ?

Will he stay out of loyalty to the chairman ? To the players ? To the fans ?

Will he hang around to see if the new investment materialises only to see his future threatened as a direct consequence of changes in ownership that may arise

Is he happy to put himself through more of the same If no investment is forthcoming

His stock seems to be rising at present having kept us in this league and though it means very little i noticed on the sack race betting odds he was listed as a contender for vacancies at Leeds , Ipswich and Sunderland

I just wonder if he might think he has taken the club as far as he can and move on If he gets a call ?

He could bring in Frandsen8 as fitness coach.

I was thinking this myself the other day. I'm sure there are more than one or two Championship clubs who might take an interest.

we get to hound managers and players out, we just don't get to appoint them

unless we wish for it, at which point we have to be careful

or something

anyway, whatever happens, folk will blame other folk

He left Bradford as new owners basically said if he is contract was up they would not renew it.

Bradford fans had very similar views to some on here on Parky. They have gone downhill since he left.
