For those that questioned why I didn’t attend the game last Saturday, this was why. My daughter asked me to go to the Pride parade with her, have a few drinks, a meal, and generally have a catch up on her life and her website project. She doesn’t live with me so I don’t see her that often so face to face time is very valuable

I’ve highlighted one particular part of her social media post from today. That is a nod to WWays. She was stunned by the response from here. I thank all of you that contributed feedback once again for your support.......

 

 

As some of you may remember, a year ago I set up a website that allows people to submit and share their personal stories regarding mental health, encouraging people to use their voice and realise that they're not going through this alone.

The response I received was absolutely insane. That insane in fact, that I shut it down after a few months as I couldn't cope with managing the website alongside my own mental health.

But now I'm back 💥 I'm in a better place with my mental health, I'm currently in the process of purchasing my first home, and next week I start my dream job as a Teaching Assistant in a special educational needs school.

So I've decided to relaunch my project. A website where you can anonymously submit your mental health story, in the form of poetry, short stories, song lyrics, or simply anything that expresses you.

As for the travel industry, can’t imagine how hard its being hit right now. Everyone is scared of spending not knowing what is around the corner. Holidays, or should that be, second/third & winter holidays will come in for some serious questioning by most. At a time when many of us just feel like we need an ounce of sunshine to up our spirits.

Oh well, not too long before Therme gets built.

Brexit has no bearing on the the point I made whatsoever. Migrants came before it happened and have done since. They still cost money.

Quite simply, money currently used to house, feed etc all these migrants comes out of current budgets. Without that demand the money could go anywhere within government spending.

Our system has been fucked for many years, and is progressively getting worse.

We all know why, though many won't admit it- too many mps, councils etc scared of saying things as they are. The same thinking which allowed the grooming gangs to go unchecked for so long.

The same thinking that has prevented mps from sorting out borders properly. 

A social/political balls up of epic proportions with its inevitable consequences.

And as an aside the nhs has had massive amounts of money thrown at it in recent years, more than the supposed brexit savings. The figures are available.

Our kid finally got a wheelchair today and could go outside for the first time in nearly 3 weeks. Been in that same bed in the same position for 19 days.

Nobody is scared of saying anything. We're not in the position we're in now because of the boats coming in, it's that simple. Covid, Putin, failure to transition to renewables when we should have; Brexit, over reliance on foreign energy and products. How long down that list before you get to immigration?? It's way down in the pecking order for voter concerns at the moment because most know it's not the issue.

If the argument is that times are tough so we shouldn't take anymore refugees; then I assume this will mean the same for the Royal Family? Temporarily suspended until the recession is over?

It's a constant bloody cycle - times get tough and it's immigration to blame. It's been the same on here coming from a select few in recent days.

5 million a day is pittance compared to the 4 plus billion we lose a year to tax avoidance.

Not having a go at anyone as it is WWAys tradition that threads go off at a tangent but be good to keep this one a 'safe place' and avoid the bickering that is creeping in.
