I'd have to have another look but one of my kids said that looking at the info in the presentation if you lived in Cornwall and had a business of any kind then there is no chance you'd be closing whether you were a pub or a hat shop.

Why? So just do what you want yes? It’s why we are where we are that

Shame that Boris bottle has gone. Might as well have a Labour government.

Do you think we should have just stayed on the same trajectory then?

Starmer called for a circuit breaker a couple of weeks ago.

Yet other members of his party were saying to avoid that. Whether you like BJ or can’t stand him the man is in a no win situation

Cos he doesn’t have to find the money for it. Easy when not in government. Magic money tree isn’t your problem strangely

We were always going to get to this point though. Do it sooner chances are you'll be out sooner

Yes. But built up hospital capacity, extra nightingales, sequestrate private hospitals, and used the track n trace money on extending ICU bed capacity.

Have they been back ever since?

I know a few who have - I couldn't say for all of them though.

The NMC put the call out earlier in the year when it looked like we could be overwhelmed. Lots of Doctors and Nurses came back.

You think the same folk who’ve caused this will obey this? Not a chance. Army on the streets. Hard line approach needed

For avoidance of doubt I fucking hate the twat😀

And yes I realise that but he doesn't make it any easier for himself though.

Very true, it's just frustrating, and to many of us have differing views, even medical, political and scientific experts. Its becoming difficult who to believe.

Agree mate, everyone from leading politicians, scientists, experts etc down to the local piss can, football forum poster etc think they know best.  This thing isn’t going anywhere soon and It’s impossible to keep everyone happy.

All good ideas in principle - but you'd need to do all that in the next 2 weeks - and it's not going to happen.

I know, but my point is, if they haven't all stayed, then presumably some of the 13000 increase must be new nurses coming through the door. Unless of course it isn't an accurate figure.

Probably not but if we'd gone earlier there is less of the virus around for said fuckwits to spread.

Anyway, we are where we are.

We’ve had 3-4 months and wasted money on track n trace. Boris was warned in September, and sage been saying since first wave ended there would be a second wave. Should have spent that time building bed capacity.

Probably true, unfortunately it looks like that would just bring the third lockdown forward.

Lockdown one- reduce numbers. Then open up society. Cunts take piss. Numbers rise.

Lockdown two- reduce numbers....

Rinse and repeat.

To be fair, I thought that’s what we locked down in March for...

More ventilators, Extra beds (nightingales), Bring doctors and nurses back to increase headcount, learn how to treat the virus, build a track and trace system etc etc

Seems to me like we are in the same boat as we were in March by all accounts. Let’s hope this vaccine comes quick and works or we could be back here 3 or 4 times yet
