Indeed

it is likely a seasonal respiratory virus, evidenced, as you say, by all European countries in a similar position, despite handling it differently through the year.

A national lockdown would be an unnecessary, panic, measure

How bad does it need to get before we lockdown?

I'd say it both.

As stated before, schools maybe open, but they aren't at full pelt and from an assessment perspective it's going to cause problems now and later in the academic year.

Also Staff in schools are not happy that they are working in the current climate, so I'd say schools remaining open isn't a given, all depends on the severity of any impending lockdown.

Theres loads of people working through this, not just staff in schools

Im not forever moaning about it, nor are you tbf

Junior is perfectly happy going in, she just objects to being exposed to the hazard but being told she cant see her fella

I don't blame her - hope they've got it sorted with their own staff. Sure there's folk at Bolton who would help if they're off today.

We're going to see more of this kind of things in the coming weeks though.

They reckon staff are going off with C-19 who had no symptoms and possibly infected patients, there is one she told me about but because the bloke died it isn't pertinent to mention on a football site

Increases the risk to her colleagues by doing that though. As transmission in school will be from adults not kids apparently

they leak it themselves

I think the idea is, leak the plan, gauge the reaction or backlash and then, if there’s widespread panic or uproar, change the plan and look at the press with heads shaking and telling the public not to believe all you read in the papers.

The boss says harwood morrisons looks like armageddon is imminent

Went down earlier. Staff were saying folk were doing £200 trolley-loads. It was getting busty by the time I left.

195 confirmed Covid patients in Blackburn & Burnley with 75 still awaiting results of a test.

That is full to the brim of I'll covid patients.

And for every one of them you can chalk off another two beds because of the need to isolate.

These people who keep going on about 'flu season'.

There's literally never been a flu season where we've had anything like 195 patients in with influenza. If be surprised if we ever have more than 10 flu patients in at any one time and that is stretching it.
