That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

How are they saying they where mishandled?

The Government, they say, instructed over 25 thousand old folk back to their care homes, basically seeding them with the virus.

Also, they used some parts of care homes to care for old Covid patients but with a lack of PPE, the virus ripped through those care homes.

Worse up here I believe than down south. Haven’t read much about it for a while in the media but over half the deaths up here have been care homes I’m sure I read/heard. Could be talking bollocks though

In my area we cover 4 care homes. Hardly any covid deaths in the beginning. The poor dears are dropping like flies at the moment now though. Its heartbreaking.

It is awful, the 2nd wave is much worse than the 1st.

Anyone watching this documentary on ITV?

Yeh watched it, I wish i hadn’t - fucking depressing.

Taiwan right next door and only 7 deaths it said at the end?
that alone shows preparedness and certain actions work , if, and a big if, the general public buy in .
that was the biggest thing I took from that doc

Unlucky.

My sister works in a care home

No covid deaths first wave

2nd wave has seen nearly half the home out

Front of lot of papers talking of a "pivot" to policy to vaccinate workers first rather than vulnerable. Sounds like a sounding leak given terminology. Think "reboot" of govt policy ould be closer to U turn.

No matter whether the virus was started accidentally or something more sinister, the Chinese have a fucking lot to answer for - that’s the biggest thing i took from that doc.

Susanna Reid's  cleavage is looking spectacular this morning, although I can never get over her Mickey Flanagan likeness.

That dude the other day said tier systems coming back in march?

Kids need to be in school. Soon as the numbers drop enough they need to go back and we will have to deal with the numbers rising again.

The guardian headline today:

Schools Covid chaos deepens as ministers halt daily mass testing

Of course they are delayed, there aren't any Pupil/Students in schools and colleges!! Absolute bell-ends are the Guardian!

The testing wasn't mandatory, Students are to be offered a test, so it was more a case of test as many as you can. Same with staff.

Staff in education who are going in during lockdown are being tested, as will be some of the vulnerable Students who are allowed in.

How can you mass test a mass that isn't present?

True, the cover up highlighted was shocking , doctors getting threatened and told they were spreading lies along with those citizen journalists
