We were hoping to go up and see the wife's lot in Orkney for the Easter holidays. Not happening as they have stopped the ferries for non residents apart from deliveries. Makes sense, they have no reported cases so far.

Bit of a pisser as the missus hasn't seen her mum for a year but we are in uncharted waters here. I think we need to lock down now to stop the nobheads - I wonder how many secret lock in's are taking place right now?

shit - the goodish news, depending on how you view it, is that patients aren't going to get transferred from one NHS trust ICU to another - its up to the individual trusts to expand and manage their own population and ICU beds

the bad news is that all the trusts haven't got anywhere near the amount of beds they think they're going to need in a few weeks at the moment, and i'm talking multiples of not enough, not just a few - they are planning on expanding into other wards, outside, wherever they can - it's also going to be dependant on how many ventilators and staff to work the ventilators they can get.

longer we delay, better it will be,  this is exactly why we should be locking down asap

There's no doubting what you can and can't do. None of the current "Go out alone for exercise." then end up with everyone else at the same place.

Obesity levels were through the fuckin roof a few months ago now every dick and his dog want to go out for exercise.
