How pissed do you have to be to 1) drive in slippers and 2) drive in odd slippers

How pissed do you need to be to own a pair of slippers in the first place

He might have been 'clinically fed up' and someone lent him the slippers following a barefoot drive.

Was there any evidence of Toblerone abuse in the car?

You have to factor in the fact that all the above get a good pension once they retire, millions of hardworking folk in other sectors don’t, the above staff have an option to move into other sectors if they wish, some do some dont I’d guess many of the above are happy with their lot.

Well public sector pensions have got worse. But it depends how you look at it. Its not to me about putting a nurse over a factory worker or over a cashier or anything else - it is about better valuing people's contributions to society. Lets not be crazy here - we're simply talking about making sure (and this hasn't been happening) that people in general are properly valued for what they do. Because this has made it abundantly clear that there is no trickle down. The theory of trickle down economics is completely debunked. So lets force the trickle - just a bit.

Friends of mine have a young daughter with cystic fibrosis. Just received the letter from nhs today saying the clock on 3 months stay at home starts from today. So the poor wee girl can’t leave the house for another 3 months. She’s been inside for 3 weeks anyway already. My heart bleeds for the wee lady such a shame

suspect folk on here with vulnerable relatives will be getting that letter today as well. Tough times indeed and I’m Moaning about a few weeks

MY wife had is last week.

Offering loads of help, which we aren't taking them up on, (there are others more needy).

It's meant that she can no return to work full time after her illness, as the Government have told her to self isolate.

It's also a minimum of 12 weeks. It may get extended.

Poor thing.  Another reason for us all to abide by the rules and get this little girl outside and enjoying the latter part of summer

Yes it was just saying that 3 months starts today for them. I think they were clinging onto the fact they had done 3 weeks already and now it’s another 3 months.  Scunnered they are

Wifes place has 1100 people getting same letter

Many of thise are being offered supoort by the volunteers

Dog walking for example

There are a lot that aren't getting it,

They have been quite strict on the ones they consider vulnerable, I've seen a fair few on social media who haven't and are complaining as they feel they should.

And my understanding is that those in work who are asked  to isolate for 3 months have no actual right to the 80%

Do you mean don't automatically qualify? Cos I'm sure they can get it if employer agrees.

I think my words are quite clear

No entitlement

If any employer agrees to furlough them, as i believe they should, fine

But otherwise, its tough

Presume its SSP

I had a driver at our place on friday

Things may have moved on, but at that stage, his employer were telling him to take unpaid keave

He has COPD

I advised he point out that furloughing was supposed to protect those affected by the virus and they ought to furlough him

Or, he rings in sick
