Was the clock end half and half back then?  Have Chelsea taken over the whole end including the home bit?

Half and half mate, but Chelsea had the entire end for that, plus had a side terrace too where the cameras were. Loads in the North Bank too. Know a few rent boys who went that day,  said they hadn't seen anything like it.

Year before they scraped staying up by beating us at Burnden in the old 2nd division thanks to that Phil Collins lookalike on the left wing.

So gas or steel? I recall similar cooling towers at both Back o’th Bank and Kearsley. Maybe it’s an Electric Generating company.
