Great win. Only got nervy because of Gilks' mistake. In regards to Maddison, I trust Evatt - as I did with Santos.

Taking Saucey off changed the game for me. Maddison has a lot to prove as his contribution so far has been negative.

lets have no falling out now. surely no one is going to question Evatt, Doyle, Gilks (!) anymore. yes we need to score more but someone very soon will get a stuffing! well done whites against one of best sides in division 

Best first half for many a year.  Looked solid until the substitution.  Wrong player was taken off and we completely lost our shape and then squeaky bum time.

 

The Fonz would have been better to swap if Maddison had to come on.

 

We’ve got the best starting 11 in the league by a mile.

Gave them a football lesson for 75 minutes. Not one player put a foot wrong up till then.

That save in the 2nd half at Bradford was a definite goal, superb save.  I’ll let him off

Fucking hell we made that nervy, but maybe that’s just the PTSD of the last decade or so.

Played some top, top stuff again though and some great performances all over the park. 

1st and 2nd lost, 3rd and 5th drew.

Only Exeter in 8th and Carlisle in 13th can catch us with games in hand at the moment

Should have been so much more comfortable but 3 points against a team above us is all that matters.

John & Dapo are far too good for everyone in this league down the left. Sarce was superb too.

Yep, Maddison is wank, don't expect to see any turn around in that lad, more bothered about his Call of Duty performances and designer gear than his football. 

Apart from that and the Gilks howler, fantastic performance again. Is it time to see Jensen in net yet? Might miss Gilks authority and organisation at the back but he's made a couple of poor saves from distance now, wouldn't mind seeing our other keeper.

My missus knows absolutely nothing about football but when Maddison came on she said "where the hell did we get him from?"

We were brilliant for so long, didn’t put a foot wrong and were within an inch on a couple of occasions of going 3-0 up which means those changes are ok.

Maddison is not the player for this team though, it’s high energy, high press, high desire (and not to mention being able to pass a ball to a white shirt). As soon as you have one gap in that team then it causes big problems in terms of shape and the covering that other players need to do. Add to that the things he’s meant to be good at, like free kicks and corners, he’s also shit at.

What changed that was one of the most experienced keepers in the league making an absolutely shocking mistake, not Maddison coming on.

The substitution with MM coming on really didn't help. It was compounded to an extent when Thomason came into Lee's position with Lee himself playing further forward.

Seemed to disrupt the midfield solidity, though Lee did well doing it. Lost the initiative, and Maddison was a liability. No confidence in him, seems lazy and a foul by him is always round the corner.

No way should we have been struggling at the end, and the changes certainly didn't help this time round.

However, we thoroughly deserved the win, and overall the deserve all the credit.

Doyle MoM for me, but many of the starters could have got it.

Taking Sarce off changed the game. Still can't see what Maddison brings, ok hit the post but still but not up to speed.

Far from convinced about Maddison, just don't think he's right for us, hope I'm proved wrong. Nothing wrong with the club's ambition to sign him though, which is a huge positive from me.

Yes definitely lost our rhythm after that sub.

Central midfielders were excellent tonight always looking for the ball.

Onwards and upwards, great result.

They were already causing more problems for the back line by then. The fact that the fella had so much time to line up the shot was testament to the effect of taking off our captain.

Of course the keeper has made a howler, but Maddison is way off, and the pressure on their defence weakened when he came on.
