The king of Jordan has praised the Don today.

More a case of humouring him and stroking his ego I think. He also said:

"I reiterated Jordan's steadfast position against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank," he said. "This is the unified Arab position."

"Rebuilding Gaza without displacing the Palestinians and addressing the dire humanitarian situation should be the priority for all," he added.

Sounds like the Egyptians are working on an alternative (more realistic?) plan which will have the backing of all the neighbouring Arab states.  Interesting to hear what that looks like and whether the US can get on board somehow.

They'll be along in a minute to tell you that it's only to make sure they keep receiving the billions of USD in aid.

I`m sure China or Russia may be able to fill that gap.

Maybe the silly cunts should release the hostages then.

It will be the people of Gaza who will suffer most though. What have they got to do with any hostages?

So he thinks it’s a ridiculous plan that everyone’s against.

But course wants to work together to maintain the ceasefire and plan for a rebuild that avoids displacing millions from their homeland.

Not sure what the big announcement was. Just normal diplomacy

Nothing that includes the letters 'UN' that's for fucking sure and certain.

Arabs won't trust them because the UN set up the State of Israel.

Israel won't trust them because they believe the UN has been hi-jacked by the relatively new Arab States

Mentioned before, the wife nursed for a Lebanese dentist. He once answered a fellow muslim patients question, "What would you do if you won the jackpot on Lotto?"

"Push all of the Jews into the sea" came the response.

Here is the reason why it will never end. Bloodthirsty savages incapable of live and let live.

Once again, completely indifferent to the hatred coming from the other side.

As grim as it is a dentist saying that, you’ve got people at the top of government in Israel who literally are looking to push Palestinians out and are acting on that hatred. It’s a daily reality in the West Bank & Gaza.

There’s bloodthirsty savages on both sides. And one has caused a lot more carnage than the other over the years.

Someone needs to look at a map of land changes from the past 70 years to see who’s done the most ‘pushing’.

They really are a disgusting shower of shit are they not?

I'm beginning to lose patience with the entire shower of shit, a canker has developed on the map and it's called the Gaza Strip and its getting worse. Like any sore it needs removing and surgery/treatment to heal.

My "Trump" ultimatum would be to draw a line across, and start a rolling barrage using B52 bombers for the 12 miles each way, north and south. Carry out 2-3 miles per night to give any people the opportunity to vacate the following zones during daylight. They then have no alternative but scurry in front of the barrage and cross into Egypt and Lebanon and join their fellow rag heads.

Then start rebuilding

Crikey

You are right though, the situation is bad, and it's only going to get worse, especially as it now seems that Trump is giving his backing to Israel. They're never going to be able to live next to, or with, each other. Maybe it'd just as easy to get rid of Israel altogether, and leave the entire region to the Arabs though.

'rag heads' - what a muppet 😄

Aye

Nobody seems to ever suggest that Israel should give up land. It's always the Palestinians that have to be sorted out.

Trump's naivety and bias on this conflict isn't going to help matters any time soon.

I've thought many times "so what does Israel contribute to the rest of the world apart from avocadoes?" and "Who would miss it if it wasn't there anymore?"

You could say it's an outdated idea, we drew some straight lines on a map in 1947 and said to the Jews, that's yours now irrespective of what your Arab neighbours think... maybe we should relocate them all to the Arizona desert if the US are so keen on them

100%, then we could leave the Arabs to continue to fight amongst themselves (as they no doubt would) without bothering to get involved. The perfect solution

I've dealt with Arabs many times and what Hamas are doing is typical... they go round and round the problem without confronting it and you end up cutting a deal usually from frustration... then half way through they deny everything and tell you they want more and expect you to start again... it's like sitting cross-legged  in a circle in a tent passing the pipe around.

I tend, like many other westerners to be more direct and that is what Trump is doing... cut the crap and tell me yes or know

Vital intelligence on hostile nations in the Middle East and beyond as well as a secure foothold in the region

The problem is that both sides are utter arseholes (form a leadership point of view, I'm sure the actual "normal" civilians are just fine) - we know it's not possible for there to ever be any sort of lasting peace, so we will continue going around and around for ever more. Thankfully at least some of the hostages are back out of the clutches of HAMAS, but let's be honest they've never intended returning all of them, and Israel certainly don't want them all returning

The Israelis are the world leaders in the manufacture of intelligence equipment... that is because of their need to survive.

I don't particularly want a colonial "foothold"... just their oils and ability to use the Suez Canal

Hamas probably don't have many left worth trading... no footage or anything as with usual kidnap scenarios

You might not but the question was about what they offer the world not what they offer Dimron

Hamas don’t represent all Arabs though do they?

And they’re hardly typical of other Arabs. Or their ‘raghead neighbours’ as you prefer to put it.

I wouldn’t describe Hamas as not confronting the problem. They seem happy to confront it in the most vile way possible, & at the brutal expense of their own people.

Out of interest. What is the best way to confront a colonialist neighbour who wants you to leave your land & bulldozes your homes daily?
