MancWanderer
Was it Ames Records that later became HMV? Just remember they filled all their windows with this on the day of release and caused outrage. Not my favourite album but the cover definitely

MancWanderer
There may be a poster on here that I’ve lost contact with that I used to meet in Scott’s pre-match. WSU. You’ll recognise the T-Shirt. Thinly viewed Grindr account shut down problem…

Burndens Bogs
Love the London Caliing album cover, but its actually a rip off of an Elvis album cover from 1956

Dimron
Back in my day every band had to have cover art by Roger Dean or Hipgnosis: https://www.theguardian.com/music/gallery/2015/oct/21/roger-dean-somewhere-near-here-prog-rock-album-covers-in-pictures https://soundblab.com/lists/hipgnosis-30-best-album-cover-designs Edited January 6, 2022 by Dimron

As everyone knows they lost money on every copy because of that expensive cover - despite it being the best-selling UK 12" ever. (I watched 24 Hour Party People). I've a copy but not 1st pressing. Not in Crawley
Off the top of me head, loads more I love - Tommy by The Who, War of the Worlds, Deseters Songs by Mercury Rev, Raw Paower The Stooges, Sonic Temple The Cult....I think I spend my childhood with albums, going over their covers, reading stuff in them in the same way people went out to kick a football. Oh forgot this one, and I;ve always liked this as well - sucker for song listings on the front of an album the Charlatans one is excellent because usally the band on a cover look a bit shit. Same as the U2 album. Lovely.
