  • I just want my lad to witness a promotion. Don't really care what happens or who plays for us after that. I definitely will in the future, but the absolute focus has to be to get out of this mind-numb

  • I disagree. His BWFC years were some of his greatest and happiest of his career. His latest SSN documentary piece highlighted this, as does countless footage of his wonder, his PFA nominatio

In the interview, SS actually referred to it as muscular, whereas Forrester was actually a "string" damage.

I always thought the hamstring was just that, and not the associated muscle.

Dalby he says

“hamstring strain probably caused by a bit of fatigue a muscle injury first one of is career “

You can make of it as you want but I take it it’s more precautionary not taking him to Spain may be rest and have another look at him when they come back . Once he starts running again it Might fuck up but then again he could be ok to go again . He doesn’t say it’s torn so that’s hopefully good news

Yes, that's how I interpreted it.

Bit surprised about the fatigue bit, but if that's the case, them get him rested and build him up as necessary.

Turns out he did his hammy in April as well.

Taylor out  3 to 4 weeks

I'm beginning to believe those Gypsy Curse stories.

Only thing we are missing is the customary season ending injury for someone in pre-season...

Sickener, that.

We must be jinxed !! From what we've seen pre season, Taylor is the stronger defender & would have been 1st choice but Conway deserves his chance now.

3-4 weeks from the time of the injury?

Won't be missing for long then.

We'll be reet.

We don't have a competitive match for nearly 2 weeks

Exactly and young max looks more than capable of contributing at both ends so no panic.

These injuries and the sale of GT might force our hand in a positive way.

Not that SS and FH weren’t on the ball already with plugging the gaps, just that it might happen with a bit more urgency now, before the start of the season.

A LB, CM & striker could very well be in the building in the next 10 days.

Then it won’t be long until we are welcoming back Dalby, Taylor, Warren and Dempsey.

I still think a right back is a bigger priority than a left back. At right back, there is no cover for Cogley. At left back, Taylor is only out for “3 or 4 weeks”, when the season doesn’t start for a fortnight!

Not a popular opinion, I know, but I’m ok with Tutu as a back up there. He’s far from perfect and will need to keep improving the defensive part of the game, but I’ve quite liked the look of him there.

Especially, (like Conway) from an attacking FB perspective. I think the issue with both of them, which has been seen at times in pre-season, is when they are challenged by a good winger.

Shame Taylor is injured, as I think it would have been him and Cogley as starting FBs. But a great opportunity for Conway

Another reason which focuses the attention at LB rather than RB, is that Cogley has a great fitness record, so with him and an attacking RB reserve in sittu, it’s LB for me.

And going off SS comments he agrees.

Keeping Desmond is not a bad option, he can cover that right back position and is decent as cover on either wing.

Keeping Schon is the puzzle, a great lad and a grafter, but as much as he never lets anybody down i cannot see a place in the squad for him.....And at a reputed fee of 800k and i imagine decent wages we are going to take a big hit when he goes.

What was described as a strain and a bit of fatigue now is a decent enough tear so who knows SS doesn’t really know just hoping for the best
