Unibol is to be re-named after the end of next season and are in discussions with a major sponsor for both stadium and shirt rights.

Doesn't really bother me, i still call it the Reebok & quite like the Home Bargains sponsorship but understand the need to raise money

but....why would we be in discussions now when we have a realistic chance of going up which would surely put us in a stronger negotiating position. Or do these things need to be sorted well in advance ?

Going to be part of the Radisson support network but not necessarily Radisson branded, I think.

I never saw a problem with Home Bargains personally. It’s a well known brand and not some Mickey Mouse outfit that nobody’s ever heard of and whilst I also continually refer to the stadium as the Reebok, I quite liked the UniBol too. I don’t really care what they call it as long as they come up with the dosh that helps get us promoted.

home bargains - absolutely no issue with em, think theyve been great for us and anybody moaning about how the logo works must be about 7 years old

Be a shame if that’s the case then as there are obvious benefits to having them on hand for maintenance etc rather than forking out for contractors all the time. 

Could be some benefits though, if for example the club/FV pay for a refurbishment then it might make it more attractive to joining a chain again. A bit like doing your house up before putting it on sale increases your market value.

It seems there’s a happy medium to be had between selling it job lot to a chain and trying to soldier on alone.

It's probably a drop in the ocean but every little helps. Anyone got any clue when the stadium and shirt sponsors will be officially announced? I'm an impatient bastard, if they already have it sorted, just bloody tell us!

They needed a reno pre pandemic. So whoever owns em these days will need to spend a bit before any fucker rents em out I'd imagine.
