It's much more entertaining than what we had to witness earlier in the day

Easier to pitch up a new ball that’s moving around. Helps when you have the bowlers the Aussies have!

You can’t really blame the Aussies yesterday and us this morning adopting the short ball - despite the bizarreness of it, it worked!

No, not what I, or the professional analysts were expecting.

As said above no substitute for world class bowling.

While I’ve had some disagreeing debate with @Horwich, one thing I’ve agreed with him on is that the Aussies are the best in the world and they are doing what I expected them to do. No one to touch them on this form.

We just have to get better at executing the game plan against the best in the world, which I believe we will, but it will take time.

They are the best.

For me, we haven't done what has been done previously though, even under "Baz ball" I can't recall an entire team playing on such an unprofessional manner. Just hiding behind the new method- and saying they'd rather lose than draw is frankly a disgrace.

I think as long as they learn and they tweak the method then that’s how they’ll improve. Even these two now are showing some variation including leaving/defending and picking the ball to hit, they don’t seem to have been as reckless as they were yesterday.

250 behind….Another 100 from this pair tomorrow and we’ll be back to incessant short-pitched bowling again!

If they’d had lost 1/2 wickets rather than 4 they’d have been in a decent position tomorrow.

Glen McGrath is going fucking bonkers on tms.

Says its a legitimate catch and that all catches in cricket should now be not out.

Just said England getting the rub of the rules. A change from the rub of the sandpaper.

Just fuckin tough sheet. There are no rules in cricket!

At least Sky are questioning the Smith catch in the first innings, which I couldn’t see as out.

But, at the end of the day, we’re doomed.

He grounded without control of his body, so no catch.
IMO, grounding should always mean no catch.

It was a bizarre comment from the Aussie.

Asking if the ground played a part in him taking the catch- well Glen, he ran along it to take the catch, so if it wasn't there then he wouldn't have taken it, so yes is the answer.

An obtuse answer to an obtuse question.

Again, one of my least favourite Aussies.

Great when it's going their way.

Not so much when it isn't.

Quite like their winning mindset, and not liking losing is fine (we could take a leaf out of that book and realise a draw might be a decent result) but they can screech with the best at times.

Nice to see some of the members having a word - Khawaja get in to a set to on it, the pillock.

You can be within the rules but still unsporting - no need whatsoever for them to sustain an appeal in those circumstances.

Any whilst they're moaning about the catch last night, what about the Root dismissal first innings - far more pivotal to the match, and Smith was still desperatelt fumbling with the ball after he'd finished rolling it along the ground - absolutely laughable that was deemed out after the later decision.

Not impressed with the sky comms either

Can only think theyve been told how to go on it

Bairstow proably daft, but what next, stumpers libs the ball at the timbers 540 times a day

Still think its beyond us, but what a player Stokes is

And Duckett...didnt think he had it in him, but 2 fine innings

Well done
