So mediocre they got us promotion and a 5th and 3rd place finish?

Correct...Santos and Jones are the only players he signed in league two that Evatt signed that got us promoted and are still with us 3 if you count thomason

Despite spending north of 5m since we returned to league one we are still in league one

5th and 3rd are not good enough and never will be in this division

I think it's still too soon to judge .Forino, Tutu & Lolos have hardly played ( signing players with a history of injuries is a separate debate, always a gamble & easy to criticise when they're out injured ) McAtee has looked good in patches but not really fitted in yet, Schon has got better & better, but Matete is hardest to judge, either very good or very poor !!

It's worth remembering that it took Maghoma half a season to settle & show how good he was.

Southwood decent as well, decent when he's started so more then happy with him as back up

So you don't rate any of Santos, Charles, Sheehan, Johnston, Toal, Baxter, Schon, Cogley, Collins...?

I never said i dont rate any of them Evatt has brought some quality to the club mostly those you have named but he has brought some terrible players here which are injury prone or not up to it and that list totals more than the nine you have named.

You said "Evatts signings are mediocre to say the least only Dapo has kicked on. " Now you're agreeing that he has brought in quality players. You're all over the place.

There's basically nothing wrong with the players, we could do with some flexibility and physical characters in the squad north of centre back, but that isn't the fault of the players. Everyone is playing exactly as IE intended, they just can't beat good teams for the reasons i mentioned above and IE refuses to do anything about it.

Can't really argue with most of Evatt's business over the years but £800k (on a budget in League One) on Vic and Dan is up there with Coyle's acquisition of Marvin Sordell.

Evatt has signed around 50 players since he arrived at the club. Jones and Santos are now playing a league above where we signed them.  Around another 20 are still in league one. Dapo is the standout who kicked on

What is hard to understand about that

He has the pick of lower league talent to choose from and the pick of young loan talent.

Yet many of his signings have a terrible injury record before and after joining us

Surely you can only have either his signings are shit or he can't get the best out of the players but not both.

Definitely Evatt's fault the beer's shit mind.

Would add to that the apparent turning down of a £1m sale of Vic.

As you say, most of the business has been good and we've had a consistently strong squad for Evatt to choose from, but these 2 are a bit inexplicable.

It's not hard to understand at all. Signings that don't live up to expectations happen at every club, to every manager. This has always been the case. I suppose it must be a coincidence that you've only just become aware of it.

Even brewsters millions wouldn’t bid £1m for Vic.

I reckon it was all made up by his agents.

MJ Williams and K Lee were brilliant signings.

Doyle was decent for the level. All bought in to do specific jobs. Not every signing is a long term venture.

I certainly agree. Evatt has made some cracking signings Johnston, Santos, Toal, Sheehan, Charles and Dapo

He has also spent north of 5m while bringing in 700k. I can only think of Dapo and Regan Riley who we have got decent money for,

My gripe with Evatt signings are the number of players that are signed and have fitness issues.

The board have continually backed him especially since January to the tune of 3m

We have had from 4 to nine players out every week for the last two seasons. Some of these players are getting injured time and time again,

Baxter is a great signing, injured every season he has played before and after he signed for us. Dempsey is another who is quality but is injured regularly. Then you have Williams plays a few games and then gets injured. Only was at Hull a short while and was injured, Then you have Firino andTu Tu who came with numerous spells out and have carried this over.

It is there in black and white

We have a decent 15 then we have 3/4that are squad players at best and about 5/6 who will miss big chunks of the season

with injuries.

The squad is not balanced as shown with us having to play with two midfielders at times

I keep explaining and pointing out facts to you and you reply with trying to put my views down but not putting anything valid

You have no counter view or point.

Come on and explain how i am wrong

We've got a decent squad and the players aren't the issue - it's all down to the manager. But also the players are an issue because the manager has signed a load of crocks, so we haven't got a decent squad, although he has signed a load of decent players too. Mind boggling.

Yes, signing Dan on loan was a mystery (he'd already proved he wasn't upto it at Cheltenham).  Paying £300k after "try before you buy" was mind boggling.  Signing Vic for half a mil was puzzling, given his track record doesn't exactly say "goalscorer" and when scouted how was his poor technique overlooked?  Turning down anything like getting our money back on him another head scratcher.
