Well of course we are talking about the  UK and predominantly here on our doorstep in the NW.

Now can you imagine the scenes?

If a kids were knifed at a mosque in the UK then I’d fully expect there to be riot, from a minority, on a similar scale to last night.

There wasn’t a riot after innocents were murdered by a far right extremist at the Finsbury Park mosque, so not sure why you think it would be a much worse riot?

But I can’t read into an imaginary future

Not sure why you think it will be worse? You’re surely on a wind up now. They were planning on closing an airport down and demonstrating in Manchester and Rochdale because a copper went a bit OTT, they’re smashing up shops over here because of stuff what’s happening thousands of miles away.

There wasn’t a riot after 22 killed in Manchester, there wasn’t a riot after a kid beheaded in Queen’s Park. This is what I mean about tolerance. And when there was a riot like last night it was a tiny minority, a few hundred out of a population  of 40 odd million whites.

You think it would be on a similar scale to last night? 4 million Muslims in UK 40 odd million whites. Do the maths.

Yep.

An estimate from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) says that 42% of those brought before the courts were white, and 46% black or of mixed heritage. A total of 7% were from an Asian or mixed Asian background.

But the proportions, as noted by the MoJ, varied significantly around the country. In Haringey – including Tottenham, where the rioting began – 34% were white, 55% from a black or mixed background. In Nottingham, 32% were white and 62% from a black or mixed background.

In Birmingham, 46% were from a black background, 33% white and 15% were Asian. In Salford, those taken to court were 94% white; with 6% from a black or mixed background.

Of the 270 rioters interviewed 50% were black, 27% were white, 18% of mixed race and 5% Asian.

It doesn't register mate.

They seem to love nothing more than drawing clearly flawed equivalence arguments. I can only assume it's appease their own conscience, which is starting to prick the bubble.

There is also some stat that over 51% of the male UK Muslim population aged 18 to 25 are “un-employed”.

Didn’t say it would be worse.

I said I thought it would be similar to the carnage we saw last night.

I asked you if you thought it would be worse if it was Muslims killed. I never really brought race into it. I don’t even know why your response to 39 hospitalised coppers & a smashed up mosque is ‘Well whatabout the Muslims’

 Carry on mate 👍

I think it would be worse and I stated my reasons why. You’ve gone off on a tangent referencing kids all around the world whilst seemingly forgetting that it’s happening here under our noses.

My response was how tolerant we are compared to others and a few idiots last night shouldn’t tarnish it. I think you know this though.

I wouldn't call 46% black/mixed v 42% white "mainly black" myself

I would and I’d call 62% mainly and 55% especially considering the demographics of the country.

I do. I never stated otherwise 👍

I disagreed it would be worse though.

You’ve also gone off on a tangent about Muslims & immigrants when neither are responsible for the tragic events in Southport, yet have been attacked as a result. They’ve also had to tolerate violence for something they didn’t cause.

Nothing wrong with tangents though 🙂

well if you break it down into areas where the rioting took place then i suspect places like haringley, where it began after a black lad was shot, have a higher black population

but then by the same logic, for the overall to be 42%-46% there were clearly areas where the rioters were mainly white

certainaly the ones i witnessed in manc were, and reckon the salford ones too

but yeah, if you think +4% is "mainly" then crack on

So not sure where your 'stat' came from but it differs from the Govt Stats.

Also tends to imply that are not 'coming over here taking our jobs'

It was a comparison? You know you need something to compare to and obviously with recent events were Muslims and immigrants t have been protesting because of their own fuck ups it proves a point.

Buy but but what about Finsbury Mosque 🙄

The state of some of you on here.

More angry about the rioting in Southport than the kids killed by a scumbag.

They're not mutually exclusive

If comparing reactions which you and @royal white are doing there is also the role of Social Media to take into account. The feeling from people of Southport seems to be total shock and horror, anger may follow , but yesterday they needed support and for want of a better expression love.

Instead they had a day of people from different sides jumping on every bit of news to fan their anger. As many people were desperate for the cunt NOT to be a Muslim immigrant boat jumper as there were desperate for him to be as many of those as possible.

The vast majority of people I bet had the thought of 'what is he' in their mind  ( I know I did) but their over riding thought was the horror of what happened and how must the families feel ? Last week that absolute space twat was in court for denying the arena horrors ever happened. How has common sense, logic and decency gone out of peoples minds ?

Onto last nights events, I get people are angry but let's be honest last night was mob that travelled to Southport whipped up by social media inventing details about the cunt, they managed to get time off work to spend the afternoon drinking Andy Peters before turning violent. They found time to shout at the PM before attacking the first responders who earlier had been taking down the cunt.  I imagine a similar process went down over the airport incident with people reacting to half truths in the original video , being whipped up by 'influencers' to stand and fight. So you end up with 2 reactions both of which were OTT and FFS the families who have lost kids having to ask for calm.

The seeming rise of the extremes is being fanned by Social media in a way that was not there in previous years when there has been social unrest. It is a real fucking mess. The pictures of the people of Southport coming together to clear the mess is the one shining light from this so far.
