Trying to find common ground on this one, as I’m sure deep down we all want the same things (safe streets, good healthcare, good education for kids etc etc). We are where we are. Multicultural is here to stay. But like your argument… it would be daft to blame them. This isn’t Starmer’s fault, it isn’t Israel’s fault or even Trumps. It is the perpetrator that should be blamed & the radical branch of Islamism that radicalised him. Let’s discuss what needs to be done about it, rather than blaming politicians for supporting Palestine’s right to exist.

Fighting terrorism doesnt mean preventing the civilians in that country the right to exist in their homeland. Other recent wars on terror haven’t aimed to take long term sovereignty away from those countries.

I live in Australia. Very multicultural. Our friends in our street are Sri Lankan, Indian (Goa), Chinese, Australian, Anglo Irish, Italian. We get together regularly. Nowt wrong with multiculturism where the culture bit can be compatible. I have said on here many times, let more Indians and West Indians in. They enrich our lives.

There is one common denominator who constantly defy assimilation. Some of you know it. Some of you have come around to knowing it. Some of you will deny it to the bitter end.

There are a few nutters in all religions, cultures & walks of life.

There are 2 billion Muslims on the planet.  Are they all terrorists? No.  Do most share the same values as me - without doubt.

Have the IDF committed genocidal atrocities in Gaza?  I think so. Are anti-Semitic tropes  “ok/banter”? No.

Is it ok to put a flag up a lamppost? Yes. Is SYL and his supporters true patriots - no.

And so on.

Unless we all try to coexist and marginalise all extremists, including those in our own midst, then there is (probably) no hope.
